back on topic please. No more Jets talk. :)
someone convince me the birds are going to do better than last year.... specifically, why the defense is going to stop the run better. |
I would like to believe they will, although, I say they will every year. I can't believe until I see it.
|
Oh wow.. enough of the E-Flirting on TST.. back on topic!
As the OP stated, don't muck the thread up! |
Where is there "E-Flirting?" It is back on topic.

I understand where you're coming from, but you're forgetting to realize that Marty Morninwheg does the offensive play calling, he has since I believe the 4th game of last year. The play calling has gotten better and some mistakes have diminished, so I'm willing to give the Andy-Donovan era a clean slate for this year. They look good, have young talent, have a good veteran crew.. they just need some good freaking luck! |
true, true... u can never underestimate the value of "good luck".... not to take anything away from teh Giants, but....
I guess we'll have to wait and see. I see their interior D being too small/undersized and the backers not being experienced enough. I'm actually excited to see a deep and talented D-backfield. Stopping the Run will again be the focal point. Hey, if they can put up some points, (ie. not get stuck on the 20 yard line every drive) they have a good shot at making the playoffs. After that, the competition steps up a good deal, and I don't think they can compete with teh top NFC teams, and def not the top AFC teams. |
damn that was a lot of catching up i jus did, 4 pages and a lot of quotes lol, i must say westbrook is the truth and with out him the eagles offense is trash they r my 2nd team so i will b rooting for them but they def. did not do nearly enough this offseason to come close to the cowboys or a superbowl this year.. SAINTS FTW... but dallas is way to strong and the giants looked amazing last night against clevland whos supposed to b a playoff caliber team and they put up like 30 in the first quarter... derick (i know i spelled his first name wrong) Hixon was the truth in that game with burress sitting because of injury... sad to say but eagles will not go far into playoffs this year if at all....

As for the Cowboys, they have always been the team to beat for the Eagles and up until last year, we were killing them. We'll see what happens. Only a few weeks until the first Philadelphia vs. Dallas game. |
dnt they play cowboys week 2 mon monday night football? i could b wrong i follow the saints a lot more then eagles but i dk...
|
Yes they do!
Eagles don't play the Saints this year though. |
lucky for the eagles bc we all kno the eagles dnt have anything for the saints this year... but we def need to get rid of mcnabb soon, we signed him to a long term huge deal way too ealy he isnt the franchize championship caliber QB for the Eagles type offense... time for someone new... that and another solid WR w Westbrook that no team can stop bc of his versitility, the eagles would b good, with their great defense...

Last year the Eagles beat the Saints 38-23. Their record was 10-6, ours was 9-7.

The Cowboys were always the team to beat in the NFC and like I said before, we were doing a damn good job of beating them up until last year when they handed our asses to us with a final of 38-17! We beat them in the second game, but it was no where close to the damage they did to us. Final was 10-6.

haha jacki on point w her football!! didn;t expect that, im glad theres a football thread ish it was on everything tho not jus the eagles but it all good....
|
So start an "official" NFL thread lol. Believe me, you're not the only one that has another favorite.

As for the Jets. Last three seasons against them from most recent games:
October 14, 2007 Eagles 16 - Jets 9 August 30, 2007 Eagles 11 - Jets 13 September 1, 2006 Eagles 17 - Jets 20 September 1, 2005 Eagles 14 - Jets 34 Okay, so they beat us 3/4 games. Their records those years, however, were 2005: 7-9, 2006: 12-4, and 2007: 7-9. Ours were 2005: 8-8, 2006: 13-3, and 2007: 9-7. Clearly we are the better team. Just look at the stats. |
