as of about an hour ago my buddy just called and said his truck threw a rod through the block...he's got an 01' lightning heres a pic....i'll try to get some pics of the damage tomorrow

edit a little update here. he pulled the oil pan off last night and found that the pass side rear piston is ****ed sideways in the cylinder and the rod was broken into 3 large chunks. we didn't find the rod endcap...so we are assuming that it is laying on rt 176 ouside of morgantown. And there is a nice sized hole in the rear of the block.

Right now his current plan includes buying my buddies dad's car as a daily driver. and the lightning is getting a Johnny lightning performance race engine. He's deciding on keeping the ported eaton on the truck or going w/ a kenne bell 2.3 or a whipple SC. A small wet shot of nitrous. Shooting for over 650whp on 93. and around 800 on race gas. We are expecting the torque will be up around 1000 ft/lbs
