Can't go wrong with a GLOCK 19. You gotta decide on caliber though. Also if you carry compare the sizes.

Agreed. Also, if you plan to shoot it a decent amount consider price of ammo. It can add up pretty quickly. You can read all the debates about different size calibers as well. If its worth it to have a .45 over a 9mm etc. a 45 is substantially bigger when compared to a 9.

Need some opinions. I'm looking to get handgun for a daily carry and would like to be steered in the right direction. The two guns are kind of apples/oranges, and I do know the obvious choice, but figured I'd ask anyways.

The two guns I'm looking at are the Glock 19, and the HK45. I know is 9mm vs. 45acp and that the glock will have a bigger magazine, smaller, and about half the price of the HK.... BUT...I really like the look and reviews of the HK and more stopping power never hurts.

So..let me have it lol.

I have the glock 26, 22c, 30sf, and the HK45C. The 45C in only slightly slightly thinner than the g30sf but also holds two more rounds of .45.

The 26 is the subcompact 9mm and has a cult following itself. I know that you were asking about the 19 but I have the sizes below and above the 19, the 26 and 22c.

Just for ****s, Ill compare the g30 to the hk45. I love the 45c and will be buried with it. Would I pay $1000 for one? No F****** way. I found mine used for $500 in great shape. Dont forget that the HK comes with a decocker, 1913 rail, and their own version of night sights standard. Not to mention its dead accurate and will never lose its value.

The 22c is awesome as well. 16 rounds of .40 and basically weighs the same as the g30sf with 11 rounds. But its huge.

I'd highly suggest you pickup a .380 G42 for right now to get a deep concealment piece. Carry that while you look for a HK45c.

Thanks everyone for the input!

The gun you feel most comfortable with and can initially shoot the best with is the one you should get

ambitiousCK 02-24-2014 06:18 PM

Guess I have to go out and find a HK45 to shoot.

Sorry if this has already been discussed I haven't read the past few pages. Has anyone heard about or looked into what is going on in Connecticut?

Drftpretty 02-26-2014 01:30 PM

^I've been following it pretty closely, if you listen real carefully you'll be able to hear the first shots of the second revolution.

Yeah its going to be really interesting to see what happens in the next couple months.

in other news i just picked up a mosin nagant 1891/30. i wont be home for a couple weeks to pick it up but looking forward to having a fun bolt action to shoot that has super cheap ammo. still trying to find what kind of scout scope mount and scope combo i wanna roll with. anyone have any experience with them??

I shouldn't buy anything else though since I just bought a Smith and Wesson M&P15. Should be picking it up from my FFL today or tomorrow. Can't wait!

speaking of parting ways, i'm looking to trade away my baby. I bought a while ago with great intentions and just never use it. I always end up going back to my glocks that look like they've been drug behind a truck. Anyway onto pics, pm me offers, worst i can say is no. Was purchased mid 2013. Has less than a box of 50rds through it. Extremely nice condition. Kimber Stainless Custom II

Me me me!

Remove rear dovetail
NCStar RB25 model rings
Either an AIM sports or NCStar 2-7x pistol scope

Nice sub $50 combo. I couldn't get my NCStar scope sighted right so I exchanged it for an AIM Sports and it's been holding up to the recoil nicely.
