I find all the Anti-gun, and "this is how we should fix america" posts, funny, and i think the people posting them are delirious. Here is the fact of the matter.
You cannot bring a knife to a gunfight, and expect to win. Im not saying its impossible, but the real way to fight is to level the playing field. All the laws in the world, will not prevent criminals from owning guns, period. there will always be someone with a gun, and the people without become TARGETS. In the military, your trained to be a HARD TARGET. Meaning you want the enemy to be afraid to kill you. You keep your head up, your eyes open, your always watching hands, and you always expecting to hear that first shot go off. This muscle memory does not stop when we go home. were always paying attention, looking for things out of the ordinary, and we are PREPARED for something to happen. when i walk into a building, i take a mental note of Exits, type of people i see, any cover i can move to quickly, and any vantage points. I form a short mental plan. i alternate routes to work randomly, and i never leave at the same time. I dont get into a schedule. People today think this is paranoid, those people are wrong. I am making myself a hard target. Im being prepared for what COULD happen, rather than hoping ill be ok. i carry a gun because im prepared for the worst, and i hope for the best. Gun free zones are soft targets. we protect our money with armed guards, but our children get less than that? I dont think so. if there was a school that offered armed security in my area, my kids would be going there. |

Picked up a marlin 795 a few days ago for a fun range toy, I know I know, just. .22... But with a 30 dollar bushnell it's grouping 1/2" at 100 yards, tons of fun and cheap! Cost me like $150 bucks with 550rds of federal.

go see them and ask about it.... I know philly takes forever, but some places have you in and out in 15 minutes. I paid my 20 and was on my was with my License to carry firearms in 15 minutes.
I'd get a decent carry system too, i prefer inside the waistband holster for everyday carry. |
