I just read a story a few days ago about a gun instructor in a school leaving his gun in the school bathroom. I read another about people being shot at a gun show when a firearm "accidentally" went off. The problem isnt the guns. Its the ****ing humans in control of them. But we cant just prevent people from being idiots, even though thats what you may wish, the problem is the GUNS. Take guns out of the situation and less people die. Period.

And the NRA and hundreds of thousands of their shameless supporters want more guns in schools?!? You have got to be out of your mind thinking this will solve anything besides stripping away the childs fragile youth with armed guards at every corner. I would hate to be in the federal jail cell they call public school when that day comes. These are sad sad times ahead for America, and i for one can wait to get the **** out of dodge.

I own a handgun. Im responsible with it. No one touches it besides myself, no one knows where it is in the house, and it stays put for the day i ever would need to use it. So i dont know where you're going with that.

So what about all the situation when a firearm is used in a good way, you know the ones that are media loves to report. If you don't like firearms, don't own one(even tho you already said you do). But don't try to tell me I shouldn't be able too. Love how people really think new laws to ban firearms will stop criminals. The last awb in the 90s did nothing at all, crime was on a down fall before that ban and still is on a down fall.

Fear in America is such a huge occurring phenomenon and it seems no one recognizes it. Our society and everything about it is based on fear. Fear that you dont look good enough, fear of the govt busting down your door in the middle of the night. Fear that you might die so you need this product right now! Everything is based on fear. Its insane. And you sheeple got played into fearing another storm of gun rights being lost, and what did it do? Made you go out and buy a bunch of **** youll never use for something that will never happen.

Ummm, there was an awb before which proved ineffective and more of a nuisance than anything. I didn't buy anything I wasn't planning on buying before, and I didn't pay a cent over retail for any of the "**** I won't use" (and just as a side note, I use every gun I own and have ever owned with a few exceptions that were purchased as collectibles [unfired sig 210, unfired colt python, etc])

Lastly, please don't point out grammatical errors when you are trying to debate with someone... It makes you look like a douche.

It was a cop that left the gun in a bathroom.

Out of curiosity, what new laws do you support?

Oh, and if you dislike America so much, you're more than welcome to leave.

That's bull ****, the last Awb made it nearly impossible to get bayoneted lugs... Stabbing by bayonete was at an all time low for those 10 years. :bigeek:

Haha just re-read this, bolded the parts I found especially interesting.

I’m a market for compact or sub-compact 9mm... current options are G19/26 or XD-9. This is my first pistol, so I’m looking for experienced advice and feedback. I’m also looking for a fair price for new and used.

This weekend I stopped by CP to check them out and see what they have. My first impression is that they are overwhelmed with customers, thus, they can only dedicate so much time for your questions. My other concern is they are a bit high on price on low on quantity. They had very limited selections of 9mm, and no glocks in store at all (all sold out). When I asked about future deliveries, I received a vague answer.

So what are my options? Can anyone recommend a “new guy” friendly shop with good selection on hand.
I’m leaning more on XD at this moment just because of multiple safeties (grip and trigger). And I also like the firing pin indicator.

I think it's funny how quick society is to blame guns, or video games when the problem is society and parenting. A solution, increase the age of which parents are no-longer responsible for their child actions to something like 30. If anyone under 30 commits a crime, their parents get locked up as well as the child. It certainly would make parents get more involved in their child's life.

I've owned both the Glock 19 (my current every day carry gun) as well as an XD-9 compact. Both guns are very similar and I liked them both. I stuck with my Glock because I had a few others and parts are interchangeable between the ones I own. You honestly can't go wrong with either. Try to shoot both and just see which one fits better.

As for finding one...good luck. Unfortunately you picked a bad time to get into shooting. All of this nonsense is making products harder and harder to find. And sadly most companies are gouging prices beyond belief.

That might possibly be the dumbest thing that I have heard in this entire debate, even if you are on the pro-gun side.

Here is an idea: how about we hold THOSE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN ACTIONS?

Why is a 30 year old MAN the responsibility of their PARENT? The majority of criminals KNOW right from wrong, yet choose the unlawful action anyway. I get your point under certain scenarios where these 14 year old thugs go out and rob cars, as that is quite obviously lack of parenting and a societal failure. But to paint such a broad brush and raise the age of which one is responsible for their own actions? I don't even know how you can look back on that statement and clarify what you are trying to achieve.

FYI i stopped by Surplus City and they had good amount of 9mm on display and very good selection. picked up a used XD-9 for $380.

Ahh i forgot you are the almighty lord and savior that has the bonafide authority to pass judgement on peoples thoughts as if law. Man where were you when I was younger.

If you're a good parent then there should be no problem being responsible for your own child for a longer period of their life.

I like your plan to "hold THOSE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN ACTIONS?". That will be a huge change in preventing these crimes and acts of violence.

While I can't change your close mindedness or ignorance, it's good you were able to discuss the topic in such a mature manner. I mean only a child would resort to name calling.
