Me and my buddies have a unspoken deal worked out that we won't gouge each other, Steve sold me a lower for what he paid, i sold him ammo and a parts kit for what I paid, another friend traded mags for ammo, etc. works out well for everyone involved.

thinking about one of the new Remington 1911s. any opinons on them? ive heard mixed reviews, but Remington themselves have a good reputation. also in a constant debate of weather to get an AR-10, or an AR-15.

They fire a completely different round, do you wand a 223 or 7.62? As for 1911s, Cleanneon on here has one he is selling,I think it's a Remington, may be worth aski him.

Your probably going to hate me for this, but I'm not opposed to mandatory training for a LTCF.. If they make you take a class before legally hunting why not before legally carrying. I am a huge proponent of training in general, the better you are and the more you know, the more effectively you can address a potential threat. I have seen way too much dumb **** happen at gun ranges, I wouldn't be comfortable with half those idiots carrying.. Just my .02

As for closing FTF sales on long guns, I'm on the fence. Obviously I'm against the potential for a registry to come of it, but if the records were destroyed after the buyer was confirmed to be a non prohibited person, I think I'd be OK with that... I don't really know, the whole direction the antis are trying to push this new legislation makes me really unhappy.

I just texted one of the guys that works at CPI, I want to know what bob says "off air" before I pass judgement, he has always been very good to me and I have spent a **** ton of money with him (I'm guessing over 60-70k :bigeek::o ) I will agree that someone who profits from the gun industry should keep their hands off stricter gun law lobbying... He never shared that view in the years I've known so all of a sudden when shtf him doing a 180 seems weird to me... Maybe he'll shut down the shop and make it a meeting location for the Brady-Tards

::edit::

And this is a stupid argument:

There's a big difference between OWNING a gun, and carrying one around other people.

A lot of gun owners couldnt pass a firearm test, nor a physical/mental exam. This is why we need stricter gun laws. Too many idiots.

Instead of making new gun laws for law abiding citizens to follow, why don't we hold people to the current laws? We all know criminals will listen to these new laws.....

Just because you are a law abiding citizen, doesn't mean you are physically and/or mentally fit to own one. Not every person should hold a scalpel.

Do you think all those who went and shot up the schools could pass a mental exam? Because they obviously passed a criminal one when they went to buy their guns and ammo.

Very true, however news outlets aren't exactly k own for releasing entire stories.

If he believes in the statement that gun OWNERS should have mandatory training so strongly that he wishes to impose it upon ALL of us, then he SHOULD require all of his transferees go through his dumb class, whatever "he" deems is enough training.

I must have read it wrong, I thought it said he thinks there should be mandatory training for a LTCF. I agree with you to an extent, a LTCF in pa is stupid because there is no standard that needs to be met to get one (besides filling out some paperwork). In a perfect world there would be no stupid people, everyone would carry responsibly and world hunger would end.

I have, and I agree, that's my point though... Those idiots are the ones carrying.
And no I wouldn't pay for the classes, they could outline it the same way hunting classes go.

I don't agree with that either. We have more than enough gun laws, smarter laws maybe, more, not so much.

I agree 100% :-p

I don't have the answer to all of this and I never claimed to... All I know is what I see and experience. There are a lot of idiots who carry irresponsibly, I was at a private range yesterday and some asshole on the pistol range swept me with a loaded gun a dozen time... He then stuck his gun inside his waistband (didn't see a holster) and left. I don't think more laws is the answer at all, I think less laws overall but ones that actually address the issues, not feel good PC bull**** to make Feinstein and the O administration look more effective than they really are... A lot of the guys on pafoa are against ANY background check for firearms... How the **** will that help? Criminals won't have to rely on stealing guns and straw purchases, they will just go buy the gun at the shop.

Which shooting are you talking about that a person passed a background check to buy a firearm then turned around with the firearm they just purchased and did a mass shooting ?

VETTE_50_TH 01-20-2013 02:34 PM

You sheeple are buying right into the needs and wants of the NRA, and those alike who have earned hundreds of millions of dollars from the fear the govt is going to take away our rights/guns. Fear in America is such a huge occurring phenomenon and it seems no one recognizes it. Our society and everything about it is based on fear. Fear that you dont look good enough, fear of the govt busting down your door in the middle of the night. Fear that you might die so you need this product right now! Everything is based on fear. Its insane. And you sheeple got played into fearing another storm of gun rights being lost, and what did it do? Made you go out and buy a bunch of **** youll never use for something that will never happen.
