That would be great! Let me know if he has any AR's he like to sell, or even better, some parts so that I can build mine.

Don't get carried away big guy... Look at it this way, you HAVE the part that MAY be banned... Anyone can buy full auto BCG's, anyone can buy million round mags, anyone can buy SBR uppers, all without a tax stamp, even if this awb ban **** goes through I confident the parts you're looking for will be available at some point... People who are grandfathered into the potential ban will still need parts, I mean hell, they sold almost 3 MILLION guns in December alone. I say either sell all your **** for a huge profit, or wait, and buy when everything calms down.

You're right, I guess I'm just getting frustrated. I know that I could clear a huge profit from everything that I have so far, but I'm not sure if I want to do that. You guys know how long I've wanted my own AR, so to be honest, I'm not in a rush to get rid of my lower. It may take a long time for me to complete this build, but at least I already have the important parts (LaRue should be shipping me my stripped upper next week).

If you can afford it, cancel and get an rguns upper.. $500 for a complete upper with bcg, charging handle, etc

I'm just busting your balls man. Don't make any sudden moves. It'll all calm down eventually. It always does. And if not you can sell the stuff for a good profit down the road.

Hmm... is it a decent quality upper? I've never heard of them before.

On their site now and I see so many different barrels, I don't know where to begin. May not be able to do $500ish though because my semester just started and I have to buy books for 7 classes... that's going to be super expensive.

I know lol

And I think you guys are right, the best thing for me to do right now is just calm down and wait for this to blow over. I don't have much cash right now and I'm not about to put all of this on a credit card. Plus getting everything now might force me to buy parts I don't necessarily want. I've been dreaming of building a really really nice AR for a long time, so I shouldn't rush myself.

Good plan, although I'd still try and find mags and ammo

~Brian~ 01-10-2013 01:12 AM

Well I still have those mag orders out there and from what I have heard, they are close to fulfillment.

I'll need to save some cash for ammo, but I plan on stocking up on at least 2,000 rounds, maybe more if I can afford it.

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone here would happen to know where I can get my saiga 12 cerakoted or duracoated? Or can I get it powder coated? Anyone know what's a good coating I can put on it? Just got it converted and went with the welding route. Only place I found was in Easton and that a little far from hatfield where I live.

Dave, any idea where I can get my hands on a lower parts kit? Doesn't have to come with a trigger, as I have decided to put in an SSA once they stop gouging by $30

ITSTOCK 01-13-2013 02:36 PM

xxxxxxxxxxx

~Brian~ 01-13-2013 03:46 PM

Over the past 8 years, a complete lower parts kit has always hovered right around $50-70. J&T Distributing makes quality mil spec parts, so $70 is right in line with what it would always be.

I don't think that you are being REALISTIC in the least bit....about anything.

(willing to pay $200 for a TRIGGER, yet not willing to pay $70 for the complete lower parts kit to make it go bang is just, odd).

Well seeing as how this is my FIRST build of an AR and I am still LEARNING about it's different components and their respective prices, it's possible to say that I might be a bit inexperienced when it comes to knowing prices vs quality. And given the amount of gouging going on right now, I wasn't wrong to think that that price was a little high, especially since I don't have 8 years of experience telling me how much these things should cost...

As for paying $200+ for a TRIGGER, I did my research on Geissele and every single thing that I have found has been positive, therefor I am willing to spend the money on a quality part.

Anyway, I did some more research on J&T and found some pretty solid reviews, so I placed an order.

Thank you for the link.
