if he didnt live so far, this would be the perfect time to play a little joke. we could move both cars out of the garage and hide them somewhere until he gets really mad or starts crying....then we can say....something funny.

very true.

You all live so far away. Waiting for my mom to get home so I can steal her Mercedes and head to the auto show for a short bit, then the Broomall meet possibly.

russiankid 02-01-2010 07:21 PM

Can't roll up to the autoshow in the Fusion?

Oakes 02-01-2010 07:23 PM

I dont feel like driving manual in the city tonight, with my summer tires in this freezing ass cold.

russiankid 02-01-2010 07:24 PM

I still do that...on highway though. I never really minded driving a manual in the city.

Xavier 02-01-2010 07:39 PM

Then you haven't owned a manual long enough.

russiankid 02-01-2010 07:40 PM

Been driving manual since I was 15, but daily since I was 16. My BMW was auto and I hated it.

Oakes 02-01-2010 07:42 PM

I've owned and driven it long enough. I have a lot of little places to run to, which would just be easy in a comfy automatic Mercedes, since I have the choice. Not that I need to explain or justify to anyone for an unrelated reason to driving in the city with a manual car, swinging for the fences there.

russiankid 02-01-2010 07:45 PM

It varies from person to person, I personally prefer a manual. I only had one instance where I wish I had an auto and that was when I sat in traffic for about 4 hours creeping a few feet every 10 seconds.

Oakes 02-01-2010 07:47 PM

I prefer manual, will only buy manual, however if the option exists (like it does) then I will be taking advantage of it. It's just that much less wear on my clutch. Simple.

russiankid 02-01-2010 07:49 PM

True on the wear part. I drive just about all highway, so going to the city won't hurt it much.

sleeperSL2 02-01-2010 07:50 PM

I drive auto. only because all my family cars are auto..no car to learn manual:o

If that was directed at me, I wasn't talking to you. I was talking to Sam.

I misread the intentions of that and didn't see Sams post immediately after mine. I'll agree with your previous point, now that I have seen his post and yours.
