Why not take it to a gunsmith? John Robinson is at Clayton's now, I can't imagine they'd charge you more than 30-40 bucks to do a thorough polish on it |

Got my Tech-Sights on the AK, need to get another drustcover because I messed up the one they sent me (it was a perfect fit and i cut it becuase I didnt notch the rear sight all the way in. Then the cover became too short). Gonna sight the sucker in tomorrow morning and maybe bring a drill to the range and de-burr the mosin again after a few hot rounds, maybe it will loosen that crud up. |
I was also surprised to find that Dick's at Franklin Mills had 7.62x39 in stock. If anyone sees some surplus cans floating around can you let me know?

just a heads up, if anyone needs a parts kit and doesn't want to get gouged by this crazy inflation, midway has DPMS ones in stock, i just ordered two

Its called supply and demand, our entire country's economy was founded on it. Don't blame the companies for jacking up prices, thank your fellow man that deemed it a "must have" item and shortening supplies, and thus driving up the price for those items. Don't blame the company for making 5x over retail for them, laugh and be pissed off at the retards who paid that much in the first place and will continue to pay that price to get it.

So we went to the range today. This is from 25 yards with TULA 7.62x39 and a WASR10/63. I must say the new stock makes it much more comfy to hold and shoot, and the little cheap muzzle brake seems to have actually softened the kick a bit. I shot this from a bench but not with a stand or anything so I don't know how 100% the same all my aim points were. I tried to adjust the sights a little but to no avail the shots all landed this way. Only ones closer to center are when I aimed for the far right, and one squib up top. Sights are adjustable front and rear and windage and elevation. Tips for what to do?
