You like those rims? Never seen them before, but on those years they don't look hideous or anything.

i love retro rims... thinking of forking over the $420 a piece on raceline gt rims or taking the cheap route on the CS mini-lite style rims.

:iagree:

Ken, those look like something New Beetle idiots would put on their car.

HickRocket1258 01-22-2010 04:00 PM

I thought they would look bad, but I don't know if they would go with your color. I know the only aftermarket rims I would get are Welds. Other than them I'll stick to stock.

So I can for $X get cams, injectors, software, etc and get around 300 HP in the M3 naturally aspirated. For $X*2 I can get a turbo and all associated goodies and 450HP mild tune to 600HP crazy tune. I'm leaning towards boosting it but nice aggressive cams would make me so happy.

boost it.

TJs98GT 01-22-2010 04:05 PM

yeah i got a lot of little things i need to get done on my car before spring, no real upgrades.

1) replace clutch with spec 3+ (centerforce dfx has had enough)
2) rewire electric fan
3) find battery drain
4) remove blower and tighten oil drain fitting

i could always find more things to do, but those would keep me busy for a long weekend

i concur... they wouldn't look so good with my color.

i'm not a huge fan of the stock rims... but they looked the best on the car when i was browsing ford.

i normally don't like black rims and a chrome lip... but i think they'll work for the color. i need wider rims though... i plan on running 285/40/18's all the way around... so i need a 9.5" or 10" wide rim.

Foolinaround 01-22-2010 04:05 PM

How easy can you get 285s on the front?

according to mustangforums.com they'll fit fine and only rub when the wheel is turned all the way to the side. i'm sure there is an adjustment that can be done to fix that. if not i'll back down to 275.

its really tough for me to let go of the idea of like 305 or 315s on the back... but i'm trying to get the car to handle on the track as well as i can

Yeah, it wont be a crazy night for me either...thats tomorrow night back at the local bar. We "rented" out their dining room and were taking our kareoke/DJ equipment back and throwing a party. They give it to us for free since it brings in enough money at the bar lol. Gotta love VFW's.
