I can't get myself to buy something new. I'd rather have 10 oor 20k miles on it and have a crap load of money saved.

an evo is my next purchase for sure. probably a used(obviously) evo 9 se.

ive never purchased new either. my focus was my "newest", got it 2 years ago, even though its a 2002, it only had 22XXX miles on it. the mustang i got when in 2003 when it had 36XXX miles on it

DPancoast 01-22-2010 12:10 PM

QFT. I really want an EVO though lol. That's the thing I hate, by the time I can afford one, they'll all have 60-80k miles, and the ones that are low mileage will be friggin 30 grand.

Oakes 01-22-2010 12:13 PM

Dpan. Kill yourself.

I have an abnormal advantage in buying new cars, I work in the industry and have a few family members that are high up in the industry and could get me any car I wanted/options/colors/etc at or below MSRP. It's worth it in my book, there is really a different feeling when you buy a new car, I know I'm hard on my cars but I maintain them....however 90% of other people don't. That little factor is enough to bother me with the second largest purchase most of us will make in our lives.

Insurance probably won't. Then again, I never got a quote with my current insurance company. (Wright Agency  ) They saved me an assload of money on insurance for the stang. My old insurance company wanted to ram it in to my ass hard for it lol

Oakes 01-22-2010 12:17 PM

OOOOOOOOO look, Jamie is the big cool girl now that she is 21...

lol, I had to.

its not hard to get a car under MSRP right now :p

when my dad and i were dealing with the sales person at C&C Ford we had the invoice in front of us with the different price plans. manage to get whatever one the car was at for like $500 above invoice plus another 1k off from Ford. so i got the car under invoice.

with tax, title and tags i got the car for under msrp by about a grand.

I got a great price on the car and i got it exactly how i would have ordered it. of course... it had 46 miles on it and i was a little iffy on that because i know those were 40 hard miles. but the car hasn't missed a beat. except for that one night after i put the catback on

If you have that advantage than yeah do it, but most of us do not.

I pay like $150ish with my GTO($500 deductibles), Talon(liability only), and bike(liability only).

I'm sure Dan or I can look into that for you. Don't know what the difference might be except what you said. Forget what the interiors look like.

TJs98GT 01-22-2010 12:29 PM

the really like the hurst. thats why my buddy put in his 06 when we did his 5 speed conversion. that shifter looks and feels nice

I think that is why it won't work. I think they tweaked things on 2010.

same thing, just not billet...

http://www.brenspeed.com/3910201.html

i would assume it'd fit. the entire drivetrain is the same. it wouldn't make sense for ford to alter the shifter

americanmuscle.com doesn't carry hurst... its gotta be a hurst short throw shifter haha... classicness
