Could be from sweat or moisture in the air/on your body.

I'd try some metal polish first and see if that helps. If not some hi grit sandpaper may be in order, 2000 grip maybe.

I have heard of kimbers doing this before. I know people have had issues with the finish on them doing this.

Someone at work today was saying there now referring to the NRA as a "terrorist organization".... That's the biggest load of crap I've ever heard.
