i know that feeling

so far, since i've started working out (started 3 months ago), i've dropped from 210, down to 200. and lost 2 inches from my waist

Scapegoat 01-19-2010 05:39 PM

i need to work out badly... with the weather warming up i may just do that.

trying to get into jogging and losing some weight before i hit the gym. i think the cardio will really help me when i get back to the weights

sleeperSL2 01-19-2010 05:41 PM

Well, me and my buddy eddie jogged to the gym(across campus) and then did a light routine, which ended up being not so light, i got too competitive.

i started back up with martial arts for cardio. been lifiting weights for a while

sleeperSL2 01-19-2010 05:49 PM

To put it in perspective i maxed out bench my senior year last year at 260. now, i only could put up 165 twice. i know it was my first day back. also, i weighed 210, now, 230. gotta trim it off

Scapegoat 01-19-2010 05:51 PM

i'd love to get into martial arts... i did 6 months of jujitsu. unfortunately the demise of that class is a long story...

my problem is, it does get expensive... and it is tough to find a good studio as well.

sadly, i am not very flexible nor is my cardio at all good enough. perhaps in a year or so i'll look into it further... maybe less time than that. i do, really, want to learn one.

never was that strong for bench. i think my max was 200 at one time. i have a strong back, legs and shoulders.

i should be around 145-150 and i'm at 170... i've got a little gut on me that needs to go... and soon.

i know 170 doesn't sound like much... but i'm 5'7"ish. at 170 and low body fat i should be a monster, at least from the pics i've seen of people around my height and weight w/ muscle...

Oakes 01-19-2010 05:54 PM

I'm 6'2" and 170....I look like a bean stalk

sleeperSL2 01-19-2010 05:56 PM

im 5'11. and 230. but of a gut goin on, not havin it.

ever think about boxing? don't have to worry about flexiblity, just cardio.

i've been taking martial arts for over 8 years now. i love it. the place i'm going to right now is sorta mc-dojo, but, i know the guy who runs it well, gives me a good price, and it's a workout.

jpalamar 01-19-2010 05:56 PM

69 inches and I'm at 210 lbs. When I came home from the Army in 2007 I was 181. Stupid office jobs.

sleeper15 01-19-2010 05:58 PM

5'10" and i'm at 200 right now.

when i first joined the military, i was at 156. when i got out of the military, i was 190, then after a couple months of doing nothing and eating home cooking, 210.

and now, back to 200, my goal by the summer, 170 at 10% or less body fat.

i'd like to work on my flexibility as well. and i don't want to get hit... haha

boxing does sound like it'd be fun. but i don't want cauliflower ears or to ruin my pretty face.

i think i'm going out for a walk/jog now... gotta start sometime... why not now

DPancoast 01-19-2010 05:59 PM
