HickRocket1258 01-15-2010 09:28 AM

DPancoast 01-15-2010 09:39 AM

morning everyone. happy friday. anyone have exciting plans for the weekend? (besides rob lol)...

Not much going on with me. Maybe a movie and probably gonna get either thai or indian food at some point with our friends again.

hope everyone has a good day today. my boss called and said we have some "training" today so who knows if i'll be in here much.

Been working here going on my 3rd year and havent had a lick of formal training but i know pretty much everything there is to know so im not sure what the deal is with this stuff. Maybe i'll be able to go home early or somethin.

I think the amount of $ BO promised was a bit much. I think helping with troops and labor is respectable and good.

jpalamar 01-15-2010 10:00 AM

I don't think we should be there. That area is geographicly not safe to live yet they keep re-building year after year from desasters. It's time to let nature take its course. Plus it isn't like we are a wealthy nation with a what $1.4+ trillion deficit and we have our own homless/jobless that are being overlooked.

If anything, we should be sending people that are jobless here in the US to help Haiti and paying them the equivalnt of a military soldiers wage. Kill 2 birds with 1 stone, help our people out and help another country out.

Nope, everything is already in the box ready to play. The thing that you add/subtract money looks like a calculator and there are different cards with different patterns on it, so that the calculator thing keeps track of what card has what amount on it.

HickRocket1258 01-15-2010 10:04 AM

I say leave them supplies and food and what not. That's it. That place is so corrupt. Buildings weren't up to code for earthquakes, the drug dealers work for the politicians, it's just a mess. You can keep throwing money over there but they are just going to pocket a bunch and not even help themselves. They take this as a gift and will do whatever they want with it besides fixing their problem.

I really don't. MTV was asking for people to text in yesterday to donate $10 to whoever is helping out over there.

HickRocket1258 01-15-2010 10:07 AM

Money, money, money is all we send to them and yet the place is still the same ****hole.

http://www.usaid.gov/press/releases/2008/pr080916.html

US gives Haiti hundreds of millions of dollars in "Aid" each year already
Katrina cost the US an estimated $100,000,000,000
US received less than .04% in Aid for Katrina
US is $12,298,086,741,832.70 in debt
US debt increases $3,920,000,000 per day

you just described NJ as well.

HickRocket1258 01-15-2010 10:14 AM

The girl that sits next to me at work says God will strike down on you just because I think the place is a ****hole and that there's really no reason to send money over and what not. Did she really pull the God card on me?

grimm 01-15-2010 10:15 AM

ask her who struck down on them...
