Morning all.

DPancoast 01-14-2010 10:01 AM

did the highway have a barrier between the 2 sides? If not you have to stop, if it did then i completely agree lol.

Morning all. Happy Thursday! Almost another weekend. Not much to report. Having dinner with my mom tonight which should be nice. Wheels are turnin in my brain for tax return time. Have some good secret plans for my broken car to make up for lost time.

Other than that i hope this day goes fast. Hope everyone has a nice day!

What is everyone planning on doing with their tax returns? Me I'm planning on paying off some of credit card, but would like to put some money into getting a torque converter for my mustang. Maybe just have a little to get gears installed.

Oakes 01-14-2010 10:08 AM

i'm putting my tax return into a short term CD.

jpalamar 01-14-2010 10:13 AM

I should be getting atleast $3000 back this year. So $1000 to pay off my balance left on my credit card from when I lost my job. $1000 in the GTO (clutch and suspension bushings are almost shot), then the other $1000 is going into my savings.

That's what I do with my money Jim, get to a certain amount and put it in a 3 month cd which there aren't any good rates for. Best I could find was with Citadel having 1% interest for 3 months.

angdefeo 01-14-2010 10:16 AM

good morning everyone. the weekend cant arrive fast enough for me.

i dont anticipate getting any money back from my tax return.

ive never gotten a huge a tax return in the past because i claimed myself as a dependent but this past year i finally changed it so idk what im going to get but im hoping to get like $2500-$3000 plus my buddy owes me $900 and then i may get a small bonus of like $5000 pre tax so i plan on paying off debts and also buying myself a few small things like a new lcd tv for my bedroom and a new spec 3+ clutch for the mustang.

jpalamar 01-14-2010 10:24 AM

^ Don't buy a spec clutch. They have alot of issues atleast with the GTO and other LS based cars. I would pay a little more and go with Monster.

i know spec has issues with a lot of cars, but they are very solid in mustangs it seems, i know a lot of people running them flawlessly. the spec 3+ is very nice and is pretty much the staple for all mustangs running 600+rwhp.

i have never heard of Monster clutches but ill take a look into them anyway.

Oakes 01-14-2010 10:31 AM

Yeah, I have a triple disc in the Fusion....it barely holds up to all the power it's putting out.

TJs98GT 01-14-2010 10:32 AM

monster clutches says "coming soon" for ford vehicles, just you GM guys so far.

jpalamar 01-14-2010 10:33 AM

That sucks. I thought they released Ford/Dodge already. Oh well. When they do come out, they are going to own as their products are top notch and the customer service is awsome.

Buy from American Muscle. Won't beat their prices at all.

that is definately a really good price. but im getting from Kevin @ wicked motorsports who does tuning and fabrication for me for my car for $432. which will actually end up about the same after i pay him taxes on it. but i like to support my local guys and the guy who works on my car so even if he was a few bucks more i would buy it through him. also, i upgraded to the 99-04 style clutch which is 11" instead of 10.5" when i put the fidanza flywheel in it to get a little more surface/gripping area(http://www.americanmuscle.com/spec-s...lus-01-04.html) and american muscle also doesnt list the one with the 26 spline upgrade for the input shaft

the work i do myself however though at my shop
