My plan was to SBR my Draco with a side or underfolder but I obviously didn't get around to it. I had the check written, fingerprints done, signature on paper, everything. I bought mine for $350 off the shelf at a local shop and sold it a few months later for $600. Now you really can't touch one for under $600. I only sold mine because I needed money and I figured I'd sell because I was almost doubling my investment. Ultimately that's what I really want to do AK-wise. I really don't like full size anything but certainly not AKs.

That C39 he's shooting is basically just a higher end milled receiver version of the Draco. It's incredible how nice that thing is for an AK, absolutely nothing like the pure junk that Dracos are. It's actually a very solid gun, much more worth it to SBR that rather than a sh*tty Draco. lol

Full size ak's shoot soooo much better than under folders and dracos. I agree an under folder is cooler but they shoot like **** and are uncomfortable as ****!

The underfolders definitely aren't very nice to shoot a lot, it would be more of a "because it's cool" gun with an underfolder on it. To be honest, I would have gone (and still might go) with a Draco SBR'd using an Ace side folder mechanism and an AR stock, the full Ace side folding stock itself, or maybe even a VZ58 folder.

The general idea behind "I don't like full size anything" is just that, I really don't like anything about 16" and over barrels on rifles unless they're precision guns. I can't stand the look of standard ARs, AKs, or anything else you could build or buy. For me it's either an SBR or it's ugly and awkward. lol.

I'm kinda with you, a side folder would be cool. I just HATE the wire under folder I had on mine, shot it twice and basically gave it away (I actually think I DID give it away to my buddy Jon)

I had a vector underfolder. HATEDDDDD shooting it. Sold it for that reason alone.

Side folder is the way to go, my arsenal when not folded you can't even tell its a folding stock. Nice and tight no play what so ever.

Dave, get a P30 V3

schaffer 11-13-2012 12:54 PM

My buddy is offered me his gently used m&p9 for 350. Thinking about jumping on it.

DC2.2GSR 11-13-2012 03:35 PM

Do it, that's a great price. Someone listed one on PAFOA the other day for $350 and I almost bought it. I guess it would be pretty pointless to have two though. lol

I might. I've been trying to unload my Glock 22 for a 19 just to get back to 9mm and haven't been able to find a buyer. Ill need to buy a new duty holster too.

I had a chance to buy one of these a year ago at auction. Didn't buy it because my buddy wanted it and ended up getting it. Paid 2300. It's a badass weapon.

That's a hell of a return if it goes for 5k! I had a psl and never shot it :( that was the closest I got.
