Is that a BAR I spy?

ITSTOCK 05-05-2008 07:58 AM

First, NICE collection! You really need to clean them up a little though, poor guns. Also, get some nicer pictures and give some details.

Are any of the top 4 functioning, well, how about top 5 down to and including the m1? It's tough to tell in the pictures, but they don't look it, they look like model guns.....maybe I just need better pictures, I don't know. Post up some info. on them.

So what are some of the details on the other guns? Wanna sell the USC-UMP conversion or the beta mag? Those guns need some tender cleaning! I feel bad for them, poor little guys.

TurboGSR96 05-06-2008 12:47 AM

I use to have a Tec-9 too, thing was a POS and jammed after about 7-10 rounds

Now I have a SW tactical .40

None are model guns. They aren't dirty most are unfired. The 1919 was dusty in the pic becuase I had it on display on the tripod in my den. That is the militay finish on the bar and 1919...sort of a dull gray/green.
Ump clone is definatly not for sale. It was just built 3 months ago. I have met you before....I traded my 10th wheels for your drag set up off my old car.

1: BAR
2. Yugo Pre-ban Heavy barrel AK (try finding one of these let alone unfired!)
3. Semi Auto Valkerie arms 1919
4. Pre-Ban FN FAL
5. M1a or M14 Built gun that will shoot 1/4 groups at 100 yard open sights Forged US Stamped semi reciever ART sniper scope is next to it

rodder 05-10-2008 08:31 PM

cmmg carbine, 16" barrel w/removable flash hider, WASP coating, flat top w/flip up rear sight, 5 pos stock.

Gotcha, very nice collection! And IF you need to sell that UMP clone, just shoot me a PM! BTW, who did it? I was going to build one a while ago but the wait from HDPS was something like 8 months and $3000 for...the clone. I couldn't justify, but still want to build one. The final straw was the other option, Tactical Excellence stopping their conversions. How does it run?

Rodder, congrats!!! Nice and simple, the way it should be.

I'm looking to get a very basic but fun handgun this summer. I have a small collection of WWII weapons, but i really don't know much other than those. Recommendations?

Odd you mention this.

I just came back from a shooting range. It was my first time shooting ever. I started off with a .22 handgun. Out of my first 5 shots, 3 were in the middle of the target from 15 feet away. It was VERY easy to shoot... however, I heard they tend to be not so reliable when you need it. And to be honest, we had three rounds that were duds.

Then I shot a Glock 7. This was a fun gun, but a lot harder than the .22 handgun. This was because it uses 9mm. I dont know why, but I was all over with it. I eventually found what was causing it and fixed it but a 9mm is nothing to shake a stick at.

I suggest you do some research and then go to a firing range that has an assortment of handguns that you can rent. Start small and work your way up. Try different handguns and see what you feel comfortable with.

Yea that's probably what i'll end up doing. I've shot shotguns, a 45cal handgun, an old nazi p38, and a little ol' 22. I'll most likely go to the range on County Line Rd. and try out a few and see what i like back to back.

Damn....he built it we sent in the USC and a parts kit. We bought a dealer sample UMP and had the dealer cut the reciever in half and used the parts. Only payed $600 for the post sample UMP. Way cheaper that way if you find a dealer willing to have a post sample UMP have it's reciever cut in half. This gun runs flawless and is extremely accurate.....you would not believe how nice it runs. Recoil is extremely low....a little more with the suppresor on. My bro has a full auto Mac 10 registered in 9 and 45 on it's way. I honestly might sell my car and just invest the money in a couple class 3's with the way they have been going up.

Can anybody give me some details on an XD Subcompact?

garrettej8 05-29-2008 03:13 PM

I'm sure there are plenty of details on it if you go to their website. I have an xd9 and I love it. I need to get some ammo and get back out to the shooting range soon.

is that cmmg one of those bargain bin deals? I was going to get one of those because of the price but wasn't sure on the quality since there isn't a warranty. I went with a new stag model 1. nice xd btw :)

Menacing_Gc8 05-29-2008 08:23 PM

ok .. Since this is the gun post, and I never realized how many people on here have em.. I'm a bit more comfortable posting now.

We ( me and TehGc) have a Taurus Millennium Pro PT40 with the 11rd Mag ,12 if you Add one to the Chamber and Hollow Point Bullets to compliment that. I am Looking into getting a new one too.. The Smith and Wesson Sigma S&W .40 Since its light and well balanced. I heard the Glocks do jam which is why some law enforcement agencies are switching.. Not sure if that holds true.

I've got an XD-9 subcompact that i'm thinking about selling Jeff. It's an awesome gun. Handles well and is really accurate. If you decide you want to pick one up, think of me. Mine has less than 1,000 rounds through it.

I had a S&W sigma .40 and it was decent. it was very inaccurate even at 20 yards but it was reliable. it makes a good plinker or home defense firearm but I wouldn't use it as a carry or for anything serious. it's a great first handgun though and they're incredibly cheap.

As for the glocks jamming, that's more of an ammo issue. some guns like different ammo so it's best to try all different kinds.
