i have tried a bunch of their line up and personally have liked the choklat the most. Some might think it's rather sweet, i prefer it over their oatmeal stout.

a bit un-related but i was watching a special about the huge tsunami in 2004. they had gathered footage from survivors camcorders. OMG! I could not believe how fast everything got destroyed and how much carnage it had left. they had one shot of vacationers on the beach looking at it, and filming how fast the water was rising, in the background every local person was running for their lives and these idiots are wading in the water watching and filming it rise inches in seconds. that mess is not 100% cleaned up either.

speaking of the Katrina thing.

had a buddy go down there and volenteer to help clean up and help people. he said when they were flying in the helicopter, they got shot at by people on the roofs of their houses. and one time, a bunch of idiots try to rob the supply truck they were in, completly forgetting about the 4 marines sitting in the back armed with m4 and combat armor.

after my friend came back, he said, "That hurricane should have killed everyone down there. We tried to help, and they shot at us and try to rob us."

Both my parents are gone for the day..so i pulled my car in, cleaned the inside and the windows, and cleaned some plastic stuff in the engine, checked the oil and fluids. i feel pretty accimplished.

it's the problem with society these days, everyone feels that they are "entitled" to everything. don't need to work hard for it, i should just be allowed to get it because that person has it. i mean **** look what they are trying to do with health care.

i havent even thought about aging the beer. will it make that much of a difference?

if it's over 10% abv it should age well. it will probably mellow out any bitterness and add some deeper flavors. You should jump in to the unofficial beer discussion thread some time, the other members that frequent that thread will know more about it and give you a better idea. I have only had a handful of aged beers mostly from 2008, i have had one from 2004 and another from 2005 and the flavors were very unique in those. (I don't know what those beers tasted like when they came out though so it's hard to say how they changed)

I have a couple i found from 1997, i'm curious to open one of those and see how it is.

But in general think of it like aging wine, most of the same principles apply except it's better to keep the beers upright.

i know its better to stand beers up, because the metal and wax seal they use can deteriorate into the beer from laying down.

that and keeping the sediment from the in bottle fermentation on the bottom.
