It's funny cause my second favorite car is an M3. Maybe we can swap cars and neither of us have to shell out any additional dollars.

I rent a garage for $170 a month for the extra car. I cant justify it but i do it.

I can't do that. Then some other dude would be ****ting up my m3 all winter ;) Sure we can swap during the summer but then I still need a winter car. The dilemma continues.

Very funny....but true.

Maybe you can buy mine and you can help me find an M3. Then with your advice i can do some modding to the M3.

If you're thinking about an E36 I can help out a LOT. Trust me ;) I know a lot about E46's too (major subframe issues). E92's so far seem absolutely positively perfect. My dream car. Marina has an 06 E90 330xi and it's amazingly pristine for 55K. We had a brand new 335d rental when it had recall work done and we couldn't really tell the difference. They're hard to work on but so far they seem like a really good build. BMW must have fired whoever built the e46 ;)

jpalamar 01-07-2010 04:53 PM

I would take an Audi RS4 before a BMW anyday of the week.

Hey Angelo, my buddy is selling his E46 M3

E36 = 1992-1997
E46 = 1998-2006
E90/92/93 = 2007-Present

In M3 E36 is 1995-1999, with sedan being available in 98 only. E36's without sunroofs are rare. E46 is 2001-2006 I think and E92 is 2008+. E92 is 2 door coupe m3 and E90 is 4 door sedan. If you ever get one you'll learn the codes quickly ;)

angdefeo 01-07-2010 05:05 PM

I cant buy another car now. My money tree died in this deep freeze. Plus i want to enjoy the 07 some before i think of whats next.

See you all later....my work whistle is blowing....checking out and going home.

General chassis codes started in the years I stated ;) I wasn't getting specific for the noob, it's too much to handle. While certain codes may be year specific, theyre all the same body style per code which is what will help him understand. GOD MARK!
