"Promises Message

Yesterday I ate an individually-wrapped Dove chocolate. On the inside of these candies' foil wrappers are little inspiring phrases called Promise Messages, not unlike the messages you find in fortune cookies, only written by Hallmark. Stuff like "Smile before bed, you'll sleep better" or "Write a letter, not an email" and crap like that. The message I got however was slightly disturbing:

"Age is nothing but a number."

I know what they're trying to say (you're only as old as you feel), but I think there are some people currently in jail who took this philosophy a little too literally. "

So if there saying your only as old as you feel, then I must be 50 because my back hurts.

Kerplunk105 11-12-2008 03:01 PM

My back good but my feet hurt from walking around yesterday.

omgjacki 11-12-2008 03:02 PM

I can't stand longer than 20 minutes, my knees start to go out. I also can't sit for longer than a half hour, I get pains. LOL I'm definitely only 18.

lownslow95 11-12-2008 03:03 PM

I can't stand for more then 30 minutes either.

You say that like it's a bad thing. Besides...I'm 27...wait until I am an old man. Then we'll see what's up. Girls will cross the street when walking past my house.

I know...I can't wait!!! I'm going to be the guy who comes out to the end of my driveway to get the paper with my flannel robe wide open with nothing on underneath it. And I'm going to be rocking the sickest comb-over possible (even if I have to shave the top of my head because I'm not bald).

ASIAN JUL 11-12-2008 04:16 PM

I hate my hot water heater :( I went to take a shower and the water got lukewarm for about 20 seconds and got cold again. My dad had done dishes like a few minutes before I went to take a shower, now I have to wait :( 50+ year old houses FTMFL

lownslow95 11-12-2008 04:17 PM

its like that here in my dorm. the water is always cold.

Snoozie 11-12-2008 04:17 PM

I can never get the water right at my house either. Its either ice cold or scalding hot. Renting ftl.

omgjacki 11-12-2008 04:18 PM

**** my hot water heater sucks too.

lownslow95 11-12-2008 04:20 PM

we just got a new water heater installed at our house, and once the guy got done installing it, it started leaking right where the water enters the water heater at the top.

The Captain 11-12-2008 04:21 PM

My shower has maybe a .0005mm difference between freezing and scalding. I can NEVER get it right.

ASIAN JUL 11-12-2008 04:23 PM

LOL my ex boyfriend's house, the dial in the shower is SO sensitive. If you like move it one millionth of a centimeter it burns you or sends you into an ice storm. **** sucked.

My grandparents, who are rich as ****, have these awesome showers where you can take a steam shower. Which is the best, evar. Except when you can't see in the steam and bump the metal dohickey that lets the steam out and you spend the rest of your vacation icing your ankle with 2nd degree burns.

Scapegoat 11-12-2008 04:25 PM

my shower is always hot. water pressure changes though

The Captain 11-12-2008 04:26 PM

my shower head can rotate to different settings and one of them is a semi-steam kinda deal, basically just is high pressure mist, problem is that is goes everywhere, so my whole bathroom is soaked if i use it. it really doesn't serve any real purpose.

Yo aside from that last part, I'd love to bang in that shower.

Mine too, but the mist is like, cold as **** unless the water is really hot.

mrchariybrown 11-12-2008 04:30 PM

what's wrong with you people's showers? mine's totally fine. hot is hot, cold is cold, and whatever you like in between.

ASIAN JUL 11-12-2008 04:33 PM

No, no water involved, there's a dial on the outside of the shower, you put it at the setting you want, like lots of steam, medium steam, little steam. It's not a shower head, it's a completely separate nozzle. And it's literally like a sauna

omgjacki 11-12-2008 04:35 PM

That **** is baller.

ASIAN JUL 11-12-2008 04:38 PM

I noes. It's the best. It also made my skin feel really awesome. My grandparents just have cool ****ing stuff in their house haha

Actually, their house in and of itsself is awesome. Right on the water convenient for boat, outdoor screened in pool, full exercise room, in Naples, Florida in some giant ass community with multi million dollar homes, golf courses, tennis courts, its own shopping center, etc FTMFW.

Scapegoat 11-12-2008 06:16 PM

i just got my shirt from revolveclothing.com... and they sent me the wrong one, but it is one of the few that i was considering anyway

now, i wasn't impressed with it coming in a priority mail envelope... but, shipping was free. Not only that, they supplied a return envelope and slip! how ****ing awesome. The shirt... fits incredibly well, better than any other $33 shirt i've ever worn. Its a medium... and fits perfectly.

revolveclothing.com has earned me as a customer. And wrath arcane as well for the quality clothing

The Captain 11-12-2008 06:33 PM

pics of said T on? Interested to see what it looks like on a real person and not a "model"

Scapegoat 11-12-2008 06:41 PM

trust me... it looks better on me than that dude... i'll see if i can get a good pic w/ this ****ty light...

edit: you'll need to wait... my real camera is in the car... and the G1 sucks in poor light. pics are super grainy
