I'm pretty sure the spent shell casing is for new york and maryland. Their laws are different on owner ship of handguns then Pa. But I beleave they are suppose to be sent in somewhere once you buy a new pistol.

I always thought it was just a test casing to show the firearm works.

I know on my springfield loaded 1911 it had one sealed in a case that said new york/ maryland on it. I gotten used guys from new york before and the shell casing was missing. I honestly don't know the laws for those states. Just figured thats what those casing are for.

If you SEE it in the case that means that your state DOES NOT REQUIRE it to be sent it. The only time you would NOT SEE IT in a BRAND NEW gun purchase is if your state requires the gun store to forward it to them for catalog.

been thinking of getting a glock 39 for conceal carry instead of my g22, anyone have any feedback on the 39?

ricky2i5 06-20-2012 11:23 PM

.45GAP rounds are a little pricey, i just picked up a 27, same gun basically in a .40sw, and for a short barrel gun the recoil is not bad at all

99corvette 06-21-2012 11:08 AM

my dad carries a 27 and loves it. 45 gap is expensive and not everyone carrys it.

92awdtsi 06-21-2012 12:38 PM

im gonna have to agree with everyone on the .45gap... for the price i'd rather get a 10mm and turn my targets into dust.

schaffer 06-22-2012 02:12 AM

My EDC is a glock 27... really cant beat it for the fire power it provides in a small package. That and with a barrel change you can shoot 3 calibers out of one gun.

Mike, a while ago we were talking about an OWB kydex holster with a felt lining that is level two retention. I think you said you had one but I forget the name of the manufacturer. Do you remember which one I'm talking about?

99corvette 06-25-2012 01:22 PM

Went shooting this weekend, got a pretty cool picture shooting my tromix saiga 12, pretty sure I can dump all ten rounds fast.

Yep.

I have two of them and I absolutely love them. Super comfortable and they hide a full size gun VERY easily. I can wear a pair of shorts and a fitted t-shirt and still won't print with my XDm. Same setup with my Kimber and the Kimber completely disappears.

empera 06-25-2012 11:04 PM

awesome, so far i've read good reviews on them but i'd like to make sure. Do you use the super tuck or the mini tuck?

i have a super tuck for the 21/30 glock models. Fits all other glocks, just not as tight. I carry my 27 in it when wearing jeans, dress pants, etc.

You can pick up blemished holsters at crossbreedseconds, for about half price.

If i'm wearing khaki or cargo shorts i slip my 27 in my pocket with a de santis pocket holster

I use the supertuck. And yeah, crossbreedseconds.com is nice. You can get a basically brand new one for almost half off.
