Mine took a little practice with my 27. The first time I shot the 27 it nearly flipped out of my hands. I still traded away my 19 for a 27. It takes some gettin used to.

I find wrapping my pinky under the mag works pretty well. The extensions work alright too.

But if you can't shoot it well and don't feel comfortable carrying it,then I would get rid of it too.

Pretty interesting day at work yesterday. Leased a car to a guy from Wicens. He built the school up there and trains a lot of the local instructors. Seemed like a good dude, anyone ever met George Hancock up there?

I couldn't resist, this was the nicest condition budget AK I'd seen in a while.

Nice pick up

So a question. If I want to clean my guns in my backyard, is that legal? I live in Philadelphia and I'm worried about one of the neighbors seeing and freaking out and calling the police on me for brandishing or something like that. I've got a nice table under an awning out back and it's really nice and quiet and I'd like to move my workshop there (also because my parents hate the smell of Hoppes #9 in the house). All weapons registered to me.

Well your backyard is private property but a city ordnance might be in a effect. As long as your not brandishing or aiming them
I dont think you would have a problem.

You might try talking to yor neighbors and tell them our just cleaning them in your yard but that might not go over well. That and I wouldn't be telling my neighbors all about my guns.

Id check into the law and local ordanaces. Perhaps someone over at pafao could shed some light.

While no brandishing law in pa you can be charged with other sections under the crimes code if you are brandishing.

I always fill out PPWK when I get one so I assumed there was a registry of some kind.

Definitely going to stain the wood, not sure if I want to strip the black coating off of the bolt carrier or whatever it's called to resemble a genuine AK.

Man I need to pick up a nice ak. I have a Russian stock set that's brand spanking new. I gotta post some pics of it some of the nicest wood I have ever seen.

Just got this today.

Uncle needed some cash, bought it new in the 70's, shot it less than 20 times. .357/.38 basic six shooter.

No, the PSP only keep a database on new gun sales. The way the law is written, it's illegal to keep a firearms registry in PA. By some sort of loophole, the PSP was allowed to keep the database on new sales. People always say things like "all my guns are legal and registered to me", but they're misinformed. There's no registry.

CleanNeon98 06-19-2012 12:22 AM

So why do they give you a spent casing with a new gun? I hear another one stays somewhere....but I figured there can't be THAT much variation in the striker pattern out there
