I love that first pic for obvious reasons. I need to buy me one of those.

I'm talking about cancer sticks.. and no, I don't "hate" it, and I'm not a hater! LOL. Photographers can feel free to express themselves in whatever way they want to, haha. For all I know people could hate my photos for NOT being underexposed.

The only thing that irks me about some of your portraits being so underexposed is that it sometimes creates very unflattering shadows on the face, body, etc.. especially a few of Kristi. But the last 2 that are outside using natural light.. I like those ones a lot!

The other thing I was gonna ask is if you've ever used a shallower DOF on portraits? I think that would add to your photos :)

Atleast you are creating natural lens flares. Not the photoshop filter. I think that is an effective technique as well, as long as it isnt over done -- well would you look at that, i cant even take my own advice. hahahahah

ASIAN JUL 12-25-2009 10:59 PM

I like flare too. First photo and the one of the Mx-5 are my faves

Ight, well I'm just gonna say bye now. I'm headed to Pittsburgh first thing in the morning and probably wont be in touch with you guys until I'm back in my annoying office on Monday. I apparently have a very interesting job offer on the table that I'm deeply considering.....only it's significantly farther away from here. Thats something for later.

Have a great weekend everyone, I'm off to spend it with Olivia so it should be fun, don't kill each other over photography advice and talk to you all later.

yea, i know you are just messing around. Since ive shot those photos of kristi, ive gotten an external flash (which would have reallllly helped for almost all of her photos), and a better camera (the d80). As for the DOF, I have used it before, but havent had much of an opportunity to really capture that technique. Much of the time, the portraits ive shot with kristi where on a whim and not really planned out.

I would really like to shoot more portrait shots. I enjoy doing them but limited by models.

as for me, how boring my family is, i usually end up spending most of my time on the computer during the holidays anyways

Erik, that sucks about the girl, whoever she may be...

Actually, 99% of girls suck. <--- Fact

russiankid 12-25-2009 11:10 PM

Yeah Julz sucks.

the4g63 12-25-2009 11:11 PM

My girlfriend doesn't suck.

Jul does.

ASIAN JUL 12-25-2009 11:11 PM

Damnit, I want Chinese food and I'm pretty sure the only non-rat infested place around here is closed considering no one answered the phone, lol.

Right that's why you've been my best friend for almost 21 years

Suddenly I don't feel like coming to keep your crippled ass company.

russiankid 12-25-2009 11:13 PM

I am a cripple too, in a sense.

Oakes 12-25-2009 11:13 PM

Julz def sucks.....well.

Olivia, up until now, has not sucked at all...hence why I'm still talking to her. That and she has a great body, gymnast/dancer most her life? Game on. Ight well, off to meet some friends, spend this drive thinking about quite a few things and seeing her. Take care guys, love you *no home* unless you're Dpan.

PEACE!
