Ken, we're pregaming at my house if you want to meet up here. Not sure what time you're getting out of work. :)

probably not closer till 5, unless something magical happens and they're ok with everything the way it is here.

I do want to grab a shower... but i suppose that can wait till later before heading into the city.

That actually pissed me off earlier this week in my car. Was in 2nd, where Trooper meets 422 and I went to pass this guy that was going 10 under the hole time and it pissed me off. I was in a fun mood so I bliped the throttle and of course rear broke lose. Didn't go sideways or anything but def felt the tires spin really good. Can't wait to deploy and move back south. Might be able to get summer onlys for a change.

But thanks for the advise Nick, I'll def take it into consideration. I doubt she would do anything dumb, in fact I bet she would drive it like a Preus. Not set on the idea of getting the car yet, but it was a thought of something she would like other then traveling which I can't really due because of her job. She missed alot of work due to some heath issues early in the year. Its not an issue now, but def is lucky her boss gave her the time off and she doesn't want to push her luck.

DPancoast 12-23-2009 04:53 PM

yeah the cold will bite you...especially in an exotic that probably has some HARD rubber on it

Scapegoat 12-23-2009 04:57 PM

ha, i also give my car a little extra gas around corners now...cold ground and cold tires equal really tail happy. the traction control kicks in though and keeps me from being too stupid.

reminds me of when i took a turn too fast in the srt to grab a light. it had just started raining so the ground was wet.... thank god the lane i was going into was two lanes because i was using both... sideways. i was surprised with myself though. i didn't miss a beat, in fact i fully anticipated exactly what the car was doing, corrected perfectly and i'm sure everyone watching was thinking "omg he must be asian driving like that"

DPancoast 12-23-2009 05:01 PM

LOL dont you love when that happens?

Scapegoat 12-23-2009 05:02 PM

it was amazing. i wish i had it on video. i wasn't even moving that fast... it was just wet out

DPancoast 12-23-2009 05:03 PM

yeah when it JUST starts raining, it can get a little hairy if you're not paying attention lol.

Scapegoat 12-23-2009 05:04 PM

i love kicking the back end out on the mustang. i'm sure everyone thinks i'm a complete asshole and wreckless when they see it jump out a foot to the right lol, the traction control kicks in and the fun stops :(

Scapegoat 12-23-2009 05:08 PM

wtf is wrong with new 2010 mustang gt owners on forums... i know the manual says the car can run 87 octane w/ no problem... buy a ****ing v6 if you're going to run 87...

phate1229 12-23-2009 05:10 PM

boo traction control, that's why I love the mr2 so much, just ask nick when he was following me home one night every turn was sideways

Big_Jim 12-23-2009 05:10 PM

i can turn it off... i just choose not too in this weather. especially now that we had snow and there is ice and salt all over the place.

if it was dry and warm(er) out i'd have it off. the car is still pretty tame w/ it off and the tires are warmed up. but now... with it cold out and the tires not warming up even by the time i get to work, i just keep the TC on

DPancoast 12-23-2009 05:22 PM

yeah TC probably saves a lot of lives

DPancoast 12-23-2009 05:31 PM

this spec ops **** pisses me off...

but its cool. im sneaking around killing people... instead of running around spraying bullets... its nice lol

ASIAN JUL 12-23-2009 05:39 PM

Yep, its like you can afford a 30K+ car but can't afford $5 extra bucks a tank so your car runs awsome. When I bought my GTO, the dealer put cheap gas in it and it felt like a slug compared to when I test drove it.

I never drive without my traction control on, unless I'm messing arround. I consider it a fail safe if I screw up or not have a random slip up.

I actually jsut got hooked on them. I played a few online with my friend Lee. So much better with 2 people because you can heal each other! I'll be on tonight if you wanna do some.

DPancoast 12-23-2009 05:50 PM

Im not sure whats going on tonight. I'd doing one of the first ones where you have to kill 40 people in the little town thing. I keep getting killed by the stupid dogs with NO warning.

I actually owned that one. I'm struggling on the timed one with the bombs(beat it with only 1 star) and then some of the Delta ones.
