you know, my old xbox started having issue after i bumped it up to 1080p as well. after that died (lasted 4 years, i was suprised) i went and got a elite.

but, there was a point in which my 360 wasn't turned off for almost 5 days straight. my buddies decided to have a "NCAA college football tournament" on it. yeah, they played around the clock.

i had an elite and it died because the mainboard warped like they do.. ended up getting a new arcade w/ the update and no problems yet.

My xbox1 and ps2 are still working. Hell I think I still have an original NES that would boot right up.

And it wasn't packed away. It was hooked up to a small tv and used rarely or anything from watching movies to playing a few demos here and there. I just didn't have the free time to play on it regularly.
