Came across a gem today... I found out that my fathers fiance has a basically brand new from the 1980's Colt MK IV Series 80 Government Model .380 stainless steel pistol. Looked them up and they are worth quite a bit of money these days.

She doesn't shoot at all, but she asked me to find mags and to get the thing running again. Any idea where I can find some original mags for this?

I'll post pics in the morning.

Check out gunbroker, I had to get a magazine for a colt 38 super last year and there was a good amount of original mags on their, ended up getting one for a good deal.

Anyone recommend a zombie killing ar? Or an all around range, comp, zombie killing ar? Also a a good place to purchase. Thanks guys.

Spikes tactical and get the zombie lower receiver. Not sure of anyone local that would have one tho.

Hey guys,
I'm the noobie to the family, but this thread caught my eyes and I figured I'd expand my intro on it. Not sure how many of you are into the zombie scene but I'm heading out to the DPMS Omega Outbreak zombie event next month for the company, I highly recommend attending its an awesome event (www.outbreakomega.com).
I currently own a Remington 870 Express, Kimberly Solo, Henry "Big Boy" and a Bushmaster ACR is on order. I'm looking for new friends and would love to go shooting with any of you, send me a note if interested.

OC alll day at the TST meet. walked the whole runway and no issues.

one kid jumped back and "oh ****"...."that guys strapped" remark to his buddy.....then he disappeared all of the sudden.

I've never been comfortable with open carry, I know it's legal in PA but since you don't see it daily it can be controversial and I like to stay concealed. Never know when someone that isn't familiar with the laws see's someone open carrying and makes a scene out of it ya know? Kind of like that guy at the show? I'd just rather not have those awkward moments. :)

boostjunky 05-12-2012 10:09 PM

Eh. I OC everyday except at work(cc there). Never had much of an issue other than once at Giant Food where manager said cover it I said have have fun putting $350 worth of groceries (Easter weekend) away and went to Weis instead and saved more anyway. :D

One other time was at the PennDot license center and the security guard lady said it would freak people out. I said not my problem, they can leave if they don't like it and shorten up our wait time. ;)

More often than not I get compliments on it. Or just sincere inquires about it or what kind of gun/caliber(CZ-75 9x19:cool:)
People generally don't even notice because most live with blinders on.

So much more comfy than sticking something in my waist band. **** that noise.
Gentlemans carry FTW.

You OC'd? I thought you were walking around carrying in your waist band with your shirt tucked behind it? What was the point of walking around like that?

bungalobenny 05-12-2012 10:47 PM

Hey more power to you, I wish more people open carried ill continue to keep my solo hidden :/

I do that after work til I get home to change rigs. You still get most of the deterrent factor and a clear draw if god forbid you have to.

Join us. Learn that Title 18 well, good holster, get a recorder or app(just in case) and go comfy. Shouldn't be worried about engaging in a lawful activity. CC is illegal with exemption. OC is not.

Start small. Gas station, Walmart, a diner. Pretty soon you won't even think about it.

Personally I enjoy shopping/fueling near the border. Love to see the faces of the NY, NJ, CT, residents who have never seen citizen carry. :what:

It's my silent way of saying welcome to America.

I would never be able to carry with a low holster like that. It's uncomfortable and moves around too much. CC or OC, doesn't matter. I still prefer the gun to be as high and tight to my body as possible. I had a Blackhawk Serpa CQC once and even that felt like it was a foot away from my body.

boostjunky 05-13-2012 10:13 AM

Thats what I thought when it arrived. It didn't really have a good picture online at the website. Let me say it is uber thick and severely stiff leather.

Belt has to be almost forced through it. I thought it would flop but it stays taught.
Did some running in the yard with it (unloaded) a few light bounds and some staircases. It stays nice.

I was surprised. It is an unissued Czech National Police duty holster. Made specifically for a decocker compact so the muzzle does poke a bit but no big deal and I carry at half cock instead of condition 1.

For 25 smackaroos it is a nice leather rig. Thinking about a Fist #9 with either a thumb break or screw added on in tan.

Think first I will get a Galco Fletch for my new to me K frame after she gets some nice rosewood finger groove grips. She will look, classy with khakis for the Summer.

I feel confident enough with 6 rounds of 158gr lswch +p.
Maybe with an extra reload in tow. Our just a Chicago reload.

Looking at P3AT but have seen they need some work occasionally to run smooth. Might just spend the dough on a Seecamp or Rohrbaugh

So just so we're clear, I shouldn't keep my box of Critical Defense in the car with me on my way to Vermont because I'm driving through NJ and NY, correct?

boostjunky 05-13-2012 12:24 PM

IANAL but isn't CD not exactly a hp similar to Pwrball? Still a gray area to me.
Anyway I my understanding is that hp are only illegal if carrying them or whilst in using them in a crime. Makes no sense. Stupid Peoples Republic of New Jermany.

Fopa should cover you but it is another country there so who knows. They disregard that anyways.

I would just skip NJ altogether.

That's something me and my brother would be down to do. Do they allow full auto at this zombie shoot?

Not to stir it up but that looks like a risky carry to me. The gun and holster is behind the center line of your pants. So when your arms hang down it will be behind them not covered. If I carried like that I would be terrifed somone would try to grab it or touch. Don't get me wrong , I am all about open carry and gun rights just at the right time. I cc everyday and don't find it uncomfortable at all actually I find it more comfortable becuase my gun and holster is not bumping into door ways or other objects that may dislodge it.

boostjunky 05-13-2012 02:33 PM

That was out of the box. Just for a second. I wear it at 2-3 o'clock.
