legally deaf i think. he can hear, but hardly... he's got a hearing aid that helps, though i obviously don't know how well. well enough to hold a conversation in a bar though

I am so stoked! I put the key into the ignition, turned her over, 3 cranks later she fires up without an exhaust. My ears are ringing, but she runs!

I wear two digital hearing aids, CIA issue, and they work very well. Without them though, it's difficult to hold normal conversation.

Do yours adjust the volume you receive in relation to input volume. My ears were ringing when I started my car up.

Yes, they "soften" loud noises and cut out sounds above a certain decibel to protect my ears and the aids themselves. They also cancel out droning/consistent background noise so I can focus on conversation and such. In a sense, with my aids in, I have better hearing than just about any one else here which is why people rarely believe I'm deaf. Without them in though, I miss a LOT, it's kinda frustrating...no, it is frustrating.

can i try your hearing aids on tomorrow?

A few people have tried them on before, theyre molded to fit my ear obviously, so if it doesnt fit the ear perfectly and air is able to pass through it will create a whistling/frequency noise which wont really work

I am still in amazed that my car fired right up after having wire harness's, intake manifold, and fuel system apart. Not to mention drivetrain swapped over. :bigeek:

Oakes 12-12-2009 10:42 AM

You can tell just from the tracks that the Audi has better tires on it, which can make all the difference. Who's all goin to the T4T today?

Scapegoat 12-12-2009 10:50 AM

i'm pretty sure, just by looking at those tracks... the bmw was driven by a woman

I just drove my BMW. I am excited because it is now a 5-speed. Some people may remember how much I talked about doing this.

Oakes 12-12-2009 11:20 AM
