I haven't shot in a few weeks, really itching to go soon! Looks like you guys got some fun stuff here in the meantime.

DC2.2GSR 04-12-2012 05:33 PM

I haven't shot in months. It sucks. It has only been one week now since I've been back to normal working hours. I was up to 75-80 hours a week for about two months straight getting ready for a custom show and now that it's over I'm finally just enjoying doing nothing. lol.

My gun obsession goes in spurts.. sometimes I'm real into shooting a lot and others (like now) I want nothing to do with spending money on going to the range. I'm actually thinking about selling my Draco already. I haven't gotten to really enjoy it since I've had it, so I think I just want to free up some cash for another toy. If anyone happens to be interested in it, check out gunbroker for approx. prices and PM me.

Took the shotgun out and shot some slugs out around 75 yards. Still accurate as can be. Girlfriend wasnt too thrilled about the punch the 12 gauge had but she shot the **** out of my Glock.

On another note I need to start buildin an AR.

HaveBlue83 04-13-2012 05:29 AM

well the freaking gas tube is too long in the carrier area...

EDIT: chopped a 1/4" off and beveled the end nicely...let's see how it shoots today!

Keep in mind rentals are rarely a perfect representation of the actual product. I've shot a number of rentals and subsequently the identical privately owned gun and always found all rentals feel beat up and cycle less consistently.

My own SR9c is a perfect example. Even the unstoppable Glock 19 I rented had problems. Not the case in real life

Just got a call from a buddy inviting me out for some clay bird shooting. Kinda excited, i bought my shotgun 6 months ago amd havent had a change to shoot some loads through it. Im also taking my pistol along to blow through some rounds. So freaking stoked.

HaveBlue83 04-13-2012 01:54 PM

my buddies GF just told me her parents are away again so we are gonna do clays and line em up along the embankments and blast some **** tomorrow!

I love summer :). and the pistol shot 100%!

yea the springfield xd i shot jammed id say 4 times in 50 rounds

DC2.2GSR 04-13-2012 05:35 PM

every time i rent a gun i break it down and give it a real quick wipe down and shoot some oil on it no matter how nice or sh*tty it looks. one time an employee at targetmaster saw me do it to a rental HK45C and he was shocked that i would spend the time on a rental and he thanked me for doing it. i was confused though, i thought everyone did? lol. it's worth the 2-3 minutes spent cleaning it to not have to deal with jams all the time.

What are the odds if I order a Glock 17, that it won't have the Gen 4 issues? Are they really that problematic?

HaveBlue83 04-13-2012 09:49 PM

Gen 3 for Life

DC2.2GSR 04-15-2012 12:28 AM

Draco is up for sale on PAFOA. I don't want to get bitched at for selling firearms on here or whatever so I won't even post a link. It's on the first page of the classifieds over there. It doesn't seem like a lot of people here are crazy about AKs, but if anyone happens to be interested just shoot me a PM with an offer either here or on PAFOA.

I've had gen 3s and gen 4s. I traded my gen 4 19 for a gen 3 27. The 19 had a few erratic ejections through 2500 rounds but other than that it was Great.

My newest Glock is a gen 4,a 22. Been flawless through and through.

hammtheman 04-15-2012 02:11 PM

shot both the shotgun and the pistol for the first time yesterday. didnt really get much time with the pistols cause we were having to much fun shooting clay birds. i must say i didnt do that good through out the day but the first round i got 8 outta 25 which isnt horrible. as the day went on it went down fast i shot a 3 outta 25 then a 2. so ****ty but my shotgun has an 18 inch barrel so its not really made for clay birds. but i loved shooting the pistol hoping to go to an actual range at some point and see if i can hit anything.
