Man this is a shock. Only meet him a few times thru mutual friends. Plain and simple he was an awesome person.
Details would be helpful, he was roommates with a few people on here i thought?

OMGz Turbo 10-08-2009 11:55 AM

I starred at facebook for about 10 minutes hoping it wasn't true. Ryan was a great guy, would do anything for anyone and never started ****. I cant believe it, I DONT WANT TO BELIEVE IT But if there is a meet setup, i will actually attend for a friend. RIP RYAN!!!!!!

And I'm seeing all these pictures being posted of him in our kitchen/house. I can't handle it. He was just there hanging out and now we'll never have that again. It's just not real for me yet.

GeforceXtreme 10-08-2009 12:22 PM

I am sorry to hear about the passing of Sherwood. I may have crossed paths with this guy once or maybe a few times at the TST meets however I cannot remember. Its such a sin to see a young guy like him pass on. Rest in peace and I give my condolences to his family and friends.

ASIAN JUL 10-08-2009 12:33 PM

My heart broke when I saw peoples' statuses on Facebook and I didn't want to believe it. In the back of my mind I was hoping it was some sort of perverse, stupid joke. But now it's hit me, and I'm sick to my stomach.

I never met him but we talked online frequently. I remember when I first joined, he was the first person to reach out to me and talk to me beyond the forum. If I had a bad day, he would say something crazy just for a laugh and he wouldn't stop until I admitted I felt better.

God, I can't even believe this, I am absolutely heartbroken. My thoughts are with his family and close friends.. I can't even imagine how this is affecting y'all, having known him so well. Stay strong, everyone.

Sherbay, you were one of a kind and you will be sorely missed.

MANLYmiata 10-08-2009 12:34 PM

Ryan was the man.
This is terrible.
RIP Ryan

I sat in the parking lot for about 45 minutes trying to pull myself together to drive. I couldn't. Everytime I would be okay enough to leave, someone would call or text and it started all over again. I didn't want to believe Bill when he called me, but when I heard him crying, I lost it.

Him and my mom were pretty close, too. Rye and my mom talked almost as often as him and I did. She was crushed when I told her.

sorry to hear that. this post did the same thing to me again, a lot of these posts have a lot of emotion put into them (obviously). sorry for the loss of Ryan to all who knew him.

TurboTagTeam 10-08-2009 12:44 PM

Can't say I knew him very well. I met him a few times. But he was DAMN funny on here.

Good luck on the journey brotha.

Met him once or twice at meets and spoke to him online several times. Can't believe this, my condolences to his family and friends. Will see if I can get a rid to attend the meet.

yeah, i wish he and i lived closer to each other. I definitely would have hung out with him more often. he really was a stand up guy. I'm very saddened to hear about all this.

but its great seeing the pictures and the affect that he has had on everyone that has come in contact with him.

its still really hard to stomach the news.

ally 10-08-2009 12:57 PM

wow. i can't believe this. :(

SpEcRv9 10-08-2009 01:00 PM

very sad, I never met him and I usually avoid RIP threads...but he always seemed like a cool dude...and provided the lulz for my signature a few times and around the forum...

I can't really add anything to this thread, and I feel like if I tried, it would seem like I knew him personally and I don't want to do that because there are many here that DID know him personally.

RIP Ryan.

EVO-DAN 10-08-2009 01:02 PM

Cant even believe it ! I got the phone call this morning around 10 with the news, and for the first time in a longgg time I was brought to tears , Ryan was def a good guy and a true friend ! My prayers go out to his family and all his other friends . I'm going to miss that kid

RIP bro !

twistedlanes 10-08-2009 01:05 PM

I had to come out of hiding when I saw this.... Rip Sherwood.

Roto 10-08-2009 01:06 PM

Didn't know him personally, but reading his posts was always enjoyable. RIP brotha! I will cancel my plans and attend the meet in his honor. I don't know if his family would welcome it, or if it's even a good idea at all, but we probably should be joining the funeral procession. Every modified car, bike, and whatever else we have, taken out of garages in his honor!

Vr-4-Life 10-08-2009 01:09 PM

wow... I had a friend die in his sleep the night before high school graduation... This really sucks, I've know ryan since the days of the hamilton DD meets....

RIP dude

Kevin 10-08-2009 01:09 PM

I got that terrible feeling that goes through your body when you hear something like this. I can't say I've ever met Ryan but I honestly feel like I have before from all the times I've talked to him on AIM/Facebook/TST. This is just terrible to hear. I hope he went peacefully and that he will rest peacefully forever.

For Ryan I'll finally agree that NJ > PA  Everyone's going to miss you here.

I remember this, probably like almost exactly a year ago. :(

armyguy6566 10-08-2009 01:09 PM

any details?

DC Hunny5 10-08-2009 01:18 PM

Ryan was the kind of guy to reach out to almost everyone. He was the guy to go to when you needed a laugh. =[ Can't believe he's gone.

OutlawzPrez 10-08-2009 01:21 PM

RIP Ryan Sherwood. Wow. I never met the guy, but I always saw him posting on TST. We talked a few times. Seemed like a great guy. I'm sorry about what happened. Any updates?

Yeah, gosh, Kevin, you're right. It was around this time last year I joined, and I remember Sherwood IM'ing me and being so nice and so friendly and funny.... I hate having to say that in the past tense.

I agree Susie.

I never really hung out with Sherwood until this past year. I met him a few times at the local meets, and you by default saw a person with a great personality and demeanor. But I really got to meet the man at Keith and Susie's house and he truly is an awesome individual. It's pretty easy to say that I am shocked as is everyone else. That Ryan will be extremely missed and is still extremely loved.

RIP Ryan and watch over us.
