05GT 08-15-2007 08:40 PM

Holy!!!! There must have been at least 200 cars there tonight. I think this is the biggest showing yet. Tons and tons of awesome cars.

TROLL 08-15-2007 10:02 PM

yeah you guys gotta get your asses out there. i was there at about 8:15 and it was crazy how many cars were showing, and then at least that many more in the parking lot spectating. its a good time and a real friendly atmosphere, so dont be hesitant to bring your clean tastefully modified imports out either.

WhiteXFire 08-15-2007 10:03 PM

Damn, I totally forgot about this or I would have come, with my tastefully stock import.

CarbonIS 08-15-2007 10:19 PM

i was just too beat to come, i definitely want to make it next week tho, i'm kinda mad i didn't go.

TROLL 08-15-2007 10:22 PM

it was massive... overwhelmingly huge. pouring out of the main parking lot huge.
i'm taking photos next week and posting them even if it'll be dark by the time i get there, just so you all see how cool it is and actually get out there.

dubjinc 08-15-2007 10:55 PM

I went earlier tonight thinking it was a tristate meet like freshworks, and when i got there it looked like a show that doesnt happen everyweek, there were a lot of cars there. is it just an open show?

Ralph, Dave, and Lownsey were there.....once again the Vitale's were no shows:lol:

Great show tonite. The burnouts are getting out of control! Ed's purple '70 Chevelle is still the reigning king in the burnout pit.

No I do beleive the Eclipse is the new king. There was more black smoke coming out of his exhaust then his tires! The rings on that bad boy are gone! That car looked hurt. Ass draggers always make the crowd laugh!

05GT 08-16-2007 10:54 AM

Yeah I missed that part this time. I stayed only til about 8:30. I had other plans. I usually stay til everyone leaves. I jumped on the burnout wagon last time lol. It was fun though. I'll be there next week I'm sure.

Snoozie 08-16-2007 11:09 AM

So these are good now? I know when they first started one of the guys yelled at us for "coming in to fast and getting dust on his car" We were going maybe 15mph.

Buster 08-16-2007 11:15 AM

Not even babe, i was in nuetral coasting into the lot and he said i was getting dust on the cars.

poolmike 08-22-2007 02:32 PM

Not sure if it's going on tonite, but I'll be there anyway.

poolmike 08-29-2007 06:45 AM

The weather looks good for tonite.

WhiteXFire 08-29-2007 01:56 PM

I'll be there!! Maybe I'll even "enter" the show. :)

poolmike 08-29-2007 04:30 PM

^^ Gotta try to get there between 5:30-6:00 to get in the parking lot. Sometimes the girl who flags the cars doesn't realize that you might be in a show vehicle, and she'll wave you into the general customer parking. You are a likely target in a new car. Just be persistant and drive around her or talk to Bruce.

The one time I went with Bill, I didn't fill out a form but still parked at the end of the row with all of the other cars in the show. Of course, we didn't get there until after 7 and there weren't more than 30 cars on display.

Do you think I should park the SLK in the show? Obviously it's stock and not really in the same class as the other hotrods and classic cars, but I suppose some people would be interested in it...

smg267 08-29-2007 04:39 PM

if the girl flags you to regular parking you prob belong there. I would not park a stock benz next to all the other cars in the big dog spots up front. You would be ok parking on the grass next to the other stock cars that show up.

TROLL 08-29-2007 04:47 PM

eh, whats the difference between his car and the new stock vettes that park in the show (aside from about 100 hp )

i'll be there early and i gotta leave early... maybe see some of you there.

Pfft, 100hp where, only the C6 Z06. :-p I can run with a regular C6 (pre-2008), at the worst within a tick or two, but not yet with only 400 miles on my car.

Anyway, we'll just see what happens when I get there.

Spocknasty 08-29-2007 04:58 PM

Bryan, take some pics so we can all see what this meet is like?

poolmike 08-29-2007 04:59 PM

I would absolutely park the SLK in the show. My point to Bruce is that this show could be HUGE if they start catering to the import scene a little more. The musclecar guys still have the big winged-fart canned ricer in mind when it comes to imports. I'm doing my part in changing there idea of imports.

TROLL 08-29-2007 05:36 PM

ok i'll snag some pics... i normally get there at 8pm and daylight is scarce. i'll be there today from about 6 to 6:30 so i'll grab some photos. not parking in the show since i gotta bounce early but i'll see if i can get a prime spectator parking spot, haha.

WhiteXFire 08-29-2007 09:55 PM

Awesome turnout, it sucks that so many cars parked in the grass get left in the dark as it gets closer to 8pm. There were some nice new cars out as well as plenty of classics and bikes...two Ford GT's, a bunch of domestics (Mustangs/Vettes), a Dodge Viper SRT-10, Bill's STi, and the list goes on. I felt like I got a nice spot parked between a sweet black 2007 350Z Grand Touring with the stock Rays forged rims and an orange Plymouth Prowler.

CarbonIS 08-29-2007 10:07 PM

that was a nice little show tonight!

poolmike 08-29-2007 11:04 PM

Great turnout tonite! The elusive Bonehead blew the dust off his Eclipse and drove it there. It's about time.

I almost got a nice 10 pointer....wait...a 10 pointer almost got himself a Mini on Wrightstown Road on my way home. That was tooo scary. 65 mph around a bend and there he was as I locked up all four tires. He just stood there lookin' at me. He was rather large.

poolmike 09-05-2007 12:13 AM

:bump: Back on top. This show gets better every week. Tonite will showcase motorcycles, so ride one if you have it.

poolmike 09-05-2007 11:00 AM

Bump for tonite. Bring the bikes out.

CarbonIS 09-05-2007 11:02 AM

I'll be there in the STi most likely, but maybe the pick-up.

Snoozie 09-05-2007 11:46 AM

What time does everyone hand out till usually?

Buster 09-05-2007 11:55 AM

Yeah I have two cars to detail if we go.

77F-150 09-05-2007 01:19 PM

do they have any black top or cement to park bikes on? if i dont it will fall over :(

poolmike 09-05-2007 03:45 PM

Yes, they have blacktop for the bikes and cars that arrive early enough. If not it spreads into the field, which seems to ge more action anyway.

CarbonIS 09-05-2007 10:09 PM

wow there were like 13812y401312 cars there tonight.

camera phone pic from tonight...

poolmike 09-05-2007 10:47 PM

That was a great show. It gets better every week.

TROLL 09-05-2007 10:49 PM

1 vote for changing thread title to "shady brook car show ~300 cars in attendance each week" or something like that :)

i'm constantly amazed at how it gets bigger and bigger each week. its nuts...

smg267 09-06-2007 01:31 PM

It seems that the neighbor across the street has a problem with the noise from the show. He was parked at the end of his driveway all night. It was funny as shoot watching Walt Leck drive by him laying on the horn.

Buster 09-06-2007 03:11 PM

What time does this show normally go to? and Start. I wanted to get both cars done last night for tonight and didnt really have enough time.

CarbonIS 09-06-2007 03:44 PM

get there at 530 for an ok spot, starts at 6 lasts til 830ish
