ok, obeewan you should know cause you've been on zilvia that most of these cars would get slaughtered, but then again TST isnt the elitist forum that zilvia is turning into slowly.
but here are some pics from that legendary thread....no more fail sizes...please. here are some good examples of what lowered cars look like. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...ures/08ik5.jpg http://img129.imageshack.us/img129/7436/pict0022it7.jpg http://img114.imageshack.us/img114/8620/pict0014yy7.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...G_6224copy.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...8-20-06032.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...r/IMG_0720.jpg http://img79.imageshack.us/img79/9776/img0567rh2.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...e/107_0730.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...DSC01500-1.jpg http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...n/DSC03785.jpg http://static.flickr.com/101/301827828_5ebbd6d075.jpg |

http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...atmandu001.jpg i wanted to go lower, but got rid of the car... |
Heres a much better picture. If I wanted it any lower I couldn't daily it very easily since its already a pain in the ass. Im considering raising it.

It's about a half an inch lower than that. Anything smaller than 16's with decent tires and my exhaust manifold literally SITS on the ground. You should see how banged up it is NOW!! |
I still think Aaron Dousan's car is gonna be SIIICK. and KidDynomites car is so slick. I'll go take some pics now... its like really nice out.
|
Yeah Zilvia is getting on my nerves but there is still some good knowlege on that site.
Wow, that Stratus doesn't have a lip, it has a CHIN!! |
wow, those 240's are hot!

i've got 3 1/2 in. between the ground and my front bumper, and just enough to get my index finger in between the front tire and the fender
|
b/c this thread shouldnt die...
http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e3...y/IMGP2852.jpg my ****ty exhaust scrapes on everything, time for a new Buddy Club Spec II.. I also need to roll the fenders and mess with the camber, can prolly get two more inches out of it i wanted... PS: Grass shots in a 'low' thread are gay and should be deleted... |
rolled fenders= low as sh*t......me like
|
I'll play.
My old Volvo S70 on KW Variant 2's. http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...2_150_full.jpg About an inch to the mudflap http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...2_157_full.jpg I have just under three inches clearance on the NSX right now. Looks cool but definitely doesn't work well in Center City:( Matt |
^^^
awesome fitment, you have any pictures of the full car? idk what i would do with my car in the city, ppl get pissed when i drive 10 mph thru busy intersections just to keep from losing my exhaust for good.. |

I should have moved that more forward, it actually ends up stopping at about the top of the split in the pack. Fortunately the scrape mark makes it easier to see the bottom of the bumper. |
haha... my dad called me today (im at school) asking how to move my car so he could get into the garage, he wasnt sure it was safe to turn the wheels b/c the tires 'might ruin the fender'
|
Going lower as soon as the rain stops...

Less than a month, I cant wait to get back to my car. Gonna have like 2K in parts just waiting, then droppin it down with you without a kit, stock body baby! edit: D, you need to tuck some rim, is that even possible on subies? |
I actually am touching the ground in this picture.

My next project is tuckin a 255/35 A048 R compound all the way around. I think it can be done with a little camber and a 5-8mm spacer. I keep calculating it but before I make that purchase I want to make sure. |

Damn, 9J sounds so weak, everytime i type it I think "Go AT LEAST another inch wider" |
9J?
I just like the look of the really wide tires on the car from behind. I really wish they made a wider rim with a lower offset in my bolt pattern, then I could go wide on the rim and stretch the tire, you know? We'll see what happens after I get my spacers in. |

Make the car fit the wheels! Spacers, roll, pull, hammer, camber, whatever it takes! lol, its prolly a little easier on an S-chassis tho. I mean who wants to hammer a three year old car? I think a custom order is needed, yah its like a year wait and twice the cost, but it would prolly be the most extreme fitment Nasioc has ever seen |
It's not that dude. TRUST me, I tried! I will only run a Volk, Work, or Advan wheel on the car and no one makes a wider rim than what I own for a 5x100.
My fenders are rolled, I run lots of camber, and the 10mm wheel spacers, extended studs, and project kics lugs are already ordered. I'm ready to be a fat tire fitter, but also keep that show car dumped look. Trust me, if it was possible, i'd be running a 18x9.5 +35 all the way around. |
I actually believe my rear was lower than Dimitri's car, until I readjusted it last night.
 |
