Yeah it was a good shot and I was kind of shocked you car didn't get into the 13's. However did you keep WOT even past the sign? A lot of people make the mistake and let off too early at Atco. I stay in till I am a decent distance away from the signs.

If you want to get into the 13's you are going to have to somehow cut a lower 60 foot. Like for me as an example I put a smalley pulley on and with my new tires I was able to get off the line much better then before. However once my boost kicked in with my smaller pulley I was breaking loose over 50mph. I think that is why I ran a slower MPH then I have done in the past. My best MPH tonight was 107 however last time at Atco I got almost 110mph.

Example of my 60 foots and how my 1/4 time dropped:

2.118 60ft = 12.994 @ 107.82
2.107 60ft = 13.126 @ 107.52 (I slipped some ways down the track and I guess that is why my 1/4 was lower then first run)
2.261 60 ft = 13.401 @ 107.58

You have no room to make fun of anyone...it was a pretty decently built car just ugly.

Yeah that blue VW seemed like it would have halled ass however sounded like it was breaking up. It also sounded like the car was breaking up at the track? However that car can do over 200mph? Jeez

TalonTsi97 07-10-2009 11:26 AM

That VW was a decently bought car built by someone else. They knew nothing about it and talked out their ass. I'm still amazed there are "car enthusiasts" out there like that.

GeforceXtreme, congrats on getting into the 12's. I talked to you for a couple of minutes at one point last night.

Are you talking about the Jetta with the chrome wheels or my buddies blue gti with black wheels? Were talking about the one with the chrome wheels built by epic tuning. I'll admit it it didn't run great times but trapped either 112 or 115 on its last run.

My buddies blue gti with the black wheels had problems from the time i met up with him to drive up there. Were hoping to fix a few issues and see what happens.

I was only talking about the blue VW hatch with the black rims. The one with the big FMHE and was having fueling issues at the track i heard.

Thanks my only goal was to break 12's on street trim setup. Now that I have broken it I am not really going to push for anything faster anytime soon. In order for me to go faster I have to get DR's/Slicks and possibly a LSD for my trans. But I have already put enough money into and car and just want to enjoy it for what it is for awhile. Maybe one day in the future I will push it even farther but for now its good enough for me.

Even if you fix your shifter i think you would have a better night. Hopefully you can straighten that out, fix the exhaust mani, and figure the WOT box out and we can go back. I think i may have to

I dunno what the deal was. I was probbably letting off too soon like mike said. I still pulled a 2.13 60 but ran slower than with my 2.26 LOL. Dan, toss that POS air filter and get a k&n if you know what's good for your car
