http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1...longblock3.jpg http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1...longblock4.jpg sensor that broke so i replaced it http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1...acuumvalve.jpg the pcv hard line had oil residue caked inside of it so it was clean up and powder coated along with a few other pieces (plus these pieces were rusted and such so i wanted them to look better) http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1...oatedstuff.jpg |
i love the MK3 supra i owned six of them and my last one made 430rwhp but when i see all this money put in to the dam 7m it makes me sad. you could have got a 2jz with goodies and boost till the end of time. not a stab at you i just kick myself for never doing it. love the attention to detail though!!
|
i hear what you saying but i wanted to stick with the 7m if i was going to go with another engine i would just have went 1j unless i got a really good deal on a 2j i couldn't pass up, and thanks for the compliment

Brandon has good reason to keep this car as original as possible. His parents were the original owners.
|
some more progress, turbo is now bolted up, vacuum lines being done (using silicone) i needed another one of those football shaped gaskets and for some reason i didn't have the brace that helps support the turbo but im getting one
http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1...longblock5.jpg http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1...longblock6.jpg is that my car under there!? haha nah its a 1j clip http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1...nMW86/shop.jpg |
well it looks like things will be wrapping up soon, not much left to be done
http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1...rappingup1.jpg http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1...rappingup2.jpg http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1...rappingup3.jpg |
there were a few issues with the jvt radiator i picked up a while back because of the price it was being sold for, so i ended up just picking up a koyo oem replacement and im returning the jvt
so another minor set back but its all good now, the koyo is in the car and i just need the upper radiator hose and a ac idler pulley adjusting bolt because the old one seized and broke hoping to have things done within the next week or two so i can be all set to enjoy the weather and the englishtown meet along with other meets coming up |
things were good to go and the engine would have had its first start today or tomorrow but sprung a coolant leak somewhere near the back of the block surely a pia :(
|
well this is where im at now:
i need another fuel damper since mine was leaking fuel, at first it was spraying then got it down to just leaking but fuel leak in the engine bay is a no no i'll also get the 2 copper crush washers that go along with it http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1...nMW86/bay1.jpg |
cell phone video
and pick up one of these a while ago for cheap, well $50 less then what they are going for (carbon fiber coil pack cover) http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1...lpackcover.jpg |
Very nice!
|
can i ask why you have the recirc side of the bov capped off? i've never seen that before, just either recirc'd or vented and im curious.
|
im going to vent it, i would like to recirculate it but couldn't find any reducer hoses the size i needed or the fittings they use to have for that bov, i wouldn't drive it capped like that
the one on the accordion hose will stay capped of course though |
okay. wasn't sure if that was permanent or not, ha.
|
car is on the road and driving great plus its sounding awesome, hopefully everything breaks in ok
pic of the final engine bay shot for now, im sure i will so more minor things along the way (i also have to put my tems electronics covers back on) http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1...oneanddone.jpg |
|

I saw your car sitting over at Street Solutions for a while, it looks really nice. My g/f is in love with the thing.
