I like a car that is modified in such a clean way, that it's hard to tell if it was or not to the untrained eye (which I realize now, my Volkswagen is just about the polar opposite of).

I also have a weird appreciation for cars from the 80's that look like piles of crap but are sleepers underneath it all.

I think a lot of us do...I know I'm one of them.

To me....a hot car is something you can look at every day and not get sick of. A simple, classy, very fast, and comfortable car. Those flat black scoobs and other really "mean" looking cars would defiantly get boring to me after awhile.

I love cars that look very clean and simple on the exterior but they look like a ****ing LeMans car under the hood.

VTeg85 07-13-2008 03:03 PM

First word that popped into my head was quality.

Beyond anything else if the work performed and the pieces chosen are quality, well fitting, and matching the make/model shouldn't make much of a difference.

And definitely originality....to a degree.

D Money 07-13-2008 03:12 PM

a car with nice expensive tastefull in style right now dont look dumb parts but also fast sounds good isnt rice type deal.

I like clean to the point almost stock looking cars as well as crazy jdm super tiuku done up cars, ain't no thing!!!!!!!!!!
Something that has taste!

I wanna push something bossy for a daily soon, probably an is350 on crazy wheels and an ings +1 kit and tint, thats it.

I hear that. To me it's a car that makes me look twice no matter what the make. Not....oh its a domestic it sucks...or oh it's not RWD so it sucks, or oh it's not a V8. I think you need at least some drop (on a car), clean tint job, a sexy set of wheels. A power adder is a plus for me but I'll settle for a nasty set of cams. If you have a fart can you are automaticly disqualified

SovXietday 07-13-2008 09:42 PM

I love a car that pushes boundaries, something that makes you double take to know what the hell is going on. Something that everytime you look at it, you find something else interesting even though you've already stared at it for hours. Doesn't matter if it's a drag car, a road course car, a drift car, or just a street car.

TGilb2007 07-13-2008 11:32 PM

Simple but yet subtle body modifications, maybe add SOME aggression to the exterior if needed (really depends on car though). One thing that really matters to me is the overall stance of the car. You can have the best looking body parts there, but with wheels and stance not really sitting right, it really takes away from the car.

I am also more of a fan of the OEM+ styling. Taking body parts from other models similar to the one you have, and using them. Wheels that are stock on other cars, and make best of it.

Audio equipment should be balanced. If its loud, awesome. But it should still be clear. Hitting low, mid, and high frequencies for car audio really can set off the overall feel of it IMO.

Also, some mild performance isnt too bad to see either for street cars. Doesn't have to make 500whp for it to be nice.

Opinion.

to me a hot car is something that you see and you cant get it out of your head weather being simple or extreme to me its about the respect you get from owning it a hot car to me is simple yet extreme to a point when almost everything is modded but nothings stands out but is just together making it simple...thats why i think the hottest cars are VIP you dont need speed with a hot car but the look already proves a point one of the hottest cars in my book

i like big VIP style sedans, but not ones that look like this...

fballman1987 07-14-2008 12:30 AM

see, those wheels that are slanted are just not right, thats not clean at all, thats flashy and if possible to drive its not for long, im all for if you have a bentley or something similar putting some 22's or something, but when you need to put your wheels on a 45 degree angle to get them to work with your car and drop, not clean at all.

thefullmonty 07-14-2008 11:11 AM

Unique and noticeable, classy but with some restraint, fast but doesn't draw too much attention to itself, and something that almost anybody can appreciate. oh yea and Clean with absolutely no RICE!

lawdogg 07-14-2008 11:29 AM

I personally think there is no such thing as a 'hot' car.

I think fast cars are fast.

Clean cars are clean.

Etc.

Hot cars ... are on fire? I'm serious. 'Hot' is the most non-descript and useless word to describe a piece of machinery ever, subjectively.

Clean and simple = hot car.

mchonda 07-14-2008 11:41 AM

yeah it really is opinion, but i love a clean car, that flows together well... a body kit is rice when it doesnt compliment the curvature of the car its on. i personally love sleepers that are just well put together but not flashy

and the prelude is always a nice choice haha
