You can't deny that they have gotten very show as of late. I'll admit I'm am very biased about BMWs as they are my sworn enemy, but I'd never get an M Coupe cause I could have a Corvette Z51 for the same price. A Vette is holy crap fast as opposed to the M coupes really pretty fast.

CHAOS 12-15-2007 01:44 PM

slow is a relative term really... slow in comparison to what? ya know... its definitely not a slow car in any shape or form. it may, however, be slower than a 911 turbo... you see my point?

and as far as vette vs. m coupe... they are in different leagues... the corvette is an american muscle car... the BMW is a luxury sports car

Hrmm… interesting discussion in here gentlemen.:)

And the 135i is heavier than I had anticipated.

CHAOS 12-15-2007 02:36 PM

yea the price they are asking for it is several thousand too high as well lol

Raven18940 12-15-2007 03:33 PM

And it's a small car too. I don't think you'll ever hear me say this again, but I'd rather have a STi. :-p

I think most of the M cars suffer from this these days.

I'm going to test drive the new M3 when it debuts, but I'm keeping my options open. I hope they don't use servotronic. I drove a family member's M6 around all last week and the steering is just totally numb if you aren't at speed. By the time the M3 are attainable (probably sometime in early '09 without selling a kidney or two), I'll probably be in a position to make a move toward something with better all around performance.

If the M3 doesn't totally blow me away on the road, I will be giving up on all performance BMWs until they put the 5.0L V10 in a mid-engine "supercar." The only new BMW I'd consider buying at my age is the 330xi as a daily driver.

I drove the new E92 M3 yesturday. Thank you BMWNA NJ!

All I have to say is WWWWWWWWWOWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!

These Mags that are testing it at 4.8 to 60 are smoking crack. 4.0 4.1 no problem. My M does it in about 4.4-4.5. Till about 40-50 MPH it feels like my chipped 335 thats boosting 15 PSI (387 RWHP) but this V8 screamsssssss top end and just pulls like all hell. The E92 M3 has some nifty electronics and the thick go cart steering wheel is sick. Steering response kills my Z4M and E46 M3 once you hit the settings the suspension tightens. This car handles amazing for gaining weight. The LSD feels a bit different too to cant even explain it. All those mag numbers I saw of the new M and thought it was garbage. Well I take all that back. This is one hell of a car. Good Job M division! Lets hope the next Z4M is just as good.

all the way up until I need warranty work and then BMW will step up and say you need a clutch, flywheel, rotors, brake pads, brake lines, and a new steering wheel?? Sure, we can replace those under warranty

GTR: you need a what?!?! nope, sorry, driver abuse

ozthunder 01-07-2008 10:54 PM

Yea, but that's a supercar; the M3 is not. You can probably afford it

the car.....maaaaybe, the repairs...probably not lol

ozthunder 01-07-2008 10:59 PM

It's also meant to be driven like that; I have some confidence that it won't break nearly as often as the Zed's do.

The only thing I have that much confidence in is insurance will rip me a new a-hole if I get a gtr lol. They are already having there way with me without lube as is :(

6 insurance points, 9 licence points. I've been kicked out of an insurance company already lol
