The map is supposed to be the biggest yet. I play GTA for the story, but for the first 20hrs or so, I'm pumped just to let loose and get rowdy in the streets again. The online update should provide some neat footy judging by the military jet coasting past at the last second.

Pre ordered it yesterday.


I might pick up 4 and play through it properly. I've played through it a few times on friends systems but never one single play through.

I remember playing gta2 with the overhead only view lol.


I preordered this knowing nothing about it and seeing no videos or previews when I went and preordered the new cod.

I'm glad I made that decision lol.

Picked it up last night just after midnight.

Still waiting for a PC release date. Will prob break down and get it for PS3. :(

Its in my car right now, picked it up before work. Now I just gotta get home, watch SOA and then start playin. Who needs sleep. Lol

I got mine today too, I did the install before work and am waiting to play as soon as I get home. Im going straight highschool style, Im gonna be up until sunrise.

Also got mine today, but haven't had a chance to play it.

Had to force myself to go to bed at 3. Lol

The game is great! I think they took a step back in the driving feel... but just a little bit. It feels a bit jerky compared to 4.

THe driving in 4 was some of the worst driving in any video games Ive played. V is better than IV in almost every way other than driving too. The city is vibrant and alive. So much to do and I love the characters, especially compared to that bland Nico.

+1 on the driving sucking in the last game.

What about the police? Are they a little more involved in this game? Or can you still speed by them, run redlights in front of them, etc... and they don't do anything?

Or seeing a police officer chase someone, punch the person they are chasing down, and then the police come after you lol

Nah, you can still free roam in peace mostly. Only when you're ramming people and running them over will the cops show up.

I will say they give you a hell of a time when in pursuit. Very fun eluding them in this one.

I shut the game off already because of the driving.

Didn't think it was bad enough to shut the game off... lol. But I liked 4s style more.

The cops definitely don't seem to give up as easily in this one. And I like shooting at the choppers. They are a lot animated/dramatic in 5.
