Yes I have shot it, ran great right out the box, did smoke a little due to all the oil that was in it. I couldn't be leave the group I did dumping a magazine rapid fire, about 2 1/2 inch group all head shots. This was the first time shooting it so I can only get better, haven't shot yet with the front grip but should tighten my group up a little. This was a complete upper from spikes tactical that I bought from aims.

Anyone have any good sites for Glock upgrades? I am planning on selling my CZ and getting a 17. It fit's me better.

If all your doing it target shooting and carrying it. You only need three things.

A good set of sights.
A case of ammo
Range time.

If your going to be competing with a Glock,I recommend the 34/35. Longer barrel, bigger mag release/slide stop, adjustable sights and a slightly better trigger. They also fall into most production classes for completion. Doing upgrades on a 17 will usually put you in a class that will have 9mm 1911 guys in It.

Beyond that,I recommend a 25 cent trigger job on the Glocks, makes for a smoother and crisper break.

Ha...carry. I lol'ed. Wrong side of the bridge(and the Constitution apparently) for that. It's just going to be a range gun/home defense until I get a better suited gun(thinking polymer Public Defender). I have no interest in doing competitive shooting, nor do I have the time.

I'm seriously considering moving to PA just for the better gun laws. :)

Get a Glock 17. A bunch of ammo and a few mags. Shoot the **** out of it.

ahhhh, the thought of shooting a polymer 410 makes my balls hurt

the mike 03-26-2012 05:05 PM

Everything I have read on the polymer Public Defender says that the frame absorbs almost 1/2 the felt recoil. Something about the way it doesn't transmit the force like a steel framed one. Hopefully I can shoot one before I pull the trigger(pun intended) on getting one. My hope is that the wife can shoot it, which is why the .410 is a nice option.

I shoot the CZ pretty often, and I enjoy it...I like shooting a 9mm, but it's too small for my hand between the trigger guard and the end of the grip. The Glock is the nicest fit I have held yet, only slightly better than the Kimber 1911 I shot(that would need new grips to be useful to me, the loophole has a really sharp point in the corner).

sure helps when I don't have to clean that area after carrying it for awhile. funk gets in there. it's a dust plug, can't go wrong. mine was free too :)

Took my friend Katelyn out shooting today and I managed to capture this pic of her as she was shooting my Kimber

Cool pic!

HaveBlue83 03-26-2012 11:26 PM

nice action pic!

I took (yet another) classmate I knew from HS out to shoot some rifles and the glock last weekend.....she is completely ambidexterous and it threw me off trying to train her. Apparently she is Left eye dominant..or so she says. I'm so confused now that I don't even know. she shot equally well left or right handed. I tried to do the "hold your finger in from of you and switch eyes, what one stays the same?" thing.....no avail.

stange....but that's women for ya! LOL

Alright, so I've decided on these, but no matter where I search, I can't find them for less than $32 each.

Aside from a gun show, does anybody have a place I can find them cheaper?

Munky 03-27-2012 11:45 PM

If you're gonna find them cheaper you're either gonna have to look through there or just keep dropping by gun stores until you catch a deal.

~Brian~ 03-27-2012 11:50 PM

I think I'll just bite the metaphorical bullet and buy the 47 OXCB's from the cheapest overall seller on that list... I don't feel like waiting anymore.

*Edit- bought the mags, hopefully they will be here by Friday.

Speaking of buying things, I went shopping today

I should probably look into buying bulk because these individual box purchases are getting expensive.

Anybody want to caravan to the Sonic meet this year? Maybe we can make it an OC event too

HaveBlue83 03-30-2012 10:12 PM

i was thinking OC there as well....I know last year some guys did it. I'm all for it so long as the place allows it :)
