though, i'm not feeling to well after getting the vet estimate

just fixed my vacuum cleaner that i broke last week... so thats a plus. i've got some room on a credit card so i'm off to the fish store soon to pick up my first something or other.

i'm thinking a crayfish and some guppies to watch it eat them

If you have a big enough tank, oscars are the best fish in the world. 1 per 50 gallons though.

angdefeo 11-27-2009 01:02 PM

I hope your cat only needs 1 surgery. Its sad to think that of the other option later.

thats what my mom told me. i'll wait to speak to the vet when i pick him up... whatever the hell he needs to reduce the chance of getting blocked up again is what he'll get. he's a great cat, and way to young to just put down

i've got a 45 gallon. not sure i want an oscar though. i'll figure it out when i go to the store though. i don't have anything in the tank right now... so i'll probably pick up something that will eventually be food for the crayfish or other fish i toss in there. something cheap and hardy.

he's only getting one surgery... i can't afford any more than that...

and to be completely logical about this... it's just a cat. Though, i know i don't mean that... i've been around animals my whole life and they've always been family. so you do what you can for as long as you can. but one surgery is all i can do. :-/

i sat that for about 20 minutes making the decision today on what to do. and of course he's being cute as ****. he's like a little dog... i just couldn't put him down.

angdefeo 11-27-2009 01:17 PM

I wonder if you can shop around for the surgery to see if it can be done more cheaply somewhere else?

too late as the cat is more than likely through surgery already... it was mainly minor to just catheter him and keep him on an IV to keep fluids in him while his kidney's readjust and empty out from being backed up for a few days.

he was in a lot of pain, so i wouldn't have wanted him in it any longer so i could save a few more bucks. the vet said she'd try to sneak some stuff off the bill to keep the price down

Just walk near the oscar tanks. Watch what they do. They don't give a **** about what's going on in their tank. They care about what's going on outside. All the other fish are easily spooked and hide all the time. Except guppies. They're friendlier than oscars.

How old is your cat? Mine is like 9 going on 10 years old now. She has gray hairs. Hard to believe I'm old enough to have my own granny cat now.

Scapegoat 11-27-2009 01:25 PM

he's a year and a half :(

Meeshell 11-27-2009 01:54 PM

I hope your cat recovers well, Ken =]

Work was pretty decent so far. We had Great Burger for lunch. Now we're just hanging out... Supposedly getting out early, just dont know when

Hey. I just applied for a job I already have. All if be doing is going from part-time to full-time. I had to rewrite my resume and write a cover letter. It is to another branch. I'd be in Newtown now which I have no problem with but I even need to be interviewd again and of course in a nervous wreck and already messed up by sending the wrong cover letter.

angdefeo 11-27-2009 02:19 PM

Dont be nervous, you are already doing the job. Plus, you know the people and have the ability to get the work done.

Good luck!

I'm awesome.

Just got a buncha new additions to my wardrobe including my BALLER new Pumas. I couldn't find the Ferrari Pumas so I settled for some just as sick, and yes I'm going back towards my "preppy" more tasteful style. Need to look good for my high end clients, one of which I'm leaving shortly to go meet with a Ferrari, Jag e-type and a Range Rover.
