I just cleaned my house...from Saturday. Wow, have I been lazy or what? Our house is usually spotless too, I just had no motivation. :o

Can't today just be over already? Another meeting just got added to my calendar... Five minutes before it starts. Meetings from 11-12. Lunch at 12. Meetings from 1-3. Awesome.... So I have 2 hours to catch up on all of my work.

i think i might actually work on my hatchback this week.

I'm setting a record for irritated. I don't see why we are told there is a hiring/raise freeze when I can downsize 2 people in my department and still get the same amout of work done since they are idiots. Til their work is double checked, we really aren't saving much/if any time.

Yet instead of being able to get rid of them, I have to make new procedures to prevent them from screwing up... AKA baby sit.

I said fire 2 of them, give everyone a $2 an hour raise and say it comes with a minimual amout of extra work per person. More money > a little more work in 99% of peoples eyes.

Yet I can't get that idea past my boss. Apparently saving on payroll, getting more done, and happier employees are not on the agenda.

Sounds like a great plan. I cant imagine why management would not at least examine it further by asking you for more metrics instead of just saying no.
