I hate BMW sometimes, but I did get a bunch of new parts today.

Just remember, chances are it's even worse on other brands. E34's and E36's are about as nice to work on as it gets ;)

Well its not exactly E34 or E36 specific. The sticky 5th gear issue is a bitch. You HAVE to buy the special BMW tool to get the bushing in. Not only did I gouge the bushing bore in the trans (its not bad) but I ****ed the new bushing up. I had the bushing in perfect all the way, it just needed another millimeter and its in place, and the ****ing thing collapsed like I didn't want it to. So I got a new bushing and bringing the trans to Bimmerworks tomorrow morning.

i love the fact that i just got a free car! lol.. my buddy just gave me a 93 Mazda MX-3, black on black, 5spd, new clutch, needs a driver door * locks and linkages are all balled up* and its only got 93k on it! asked him how much he wanted he said "you pay the transfer and get it outta here its yours" ahh..gotta love kids with 5 cars and a mom that wont stop complaining about it taking up space lol. definatley not my idea of a tuner, but 30 mpg vs my jeeps 13 is gonna hit the spot!

I am currently taking up the whole garage, and my mom is not happy. I got my car on one side, and on the other I have a transmission, exhaust, differential, driveshaft, engine covers, intake manifold, and misc crap.

Good morning gang. Hopefully working tuesday ends quickly and we can get closer to the weekend.

I tried shooting some pictures of my project car over the weekend. After looking at the pictures last night I realize that i need some pointers. I have a 10megapixel point and shoot camera. I tried using all the auto functions but it needs some tweaking.

I guess i need to figure out the basics before i try to shoot a portrait type picture.

Morning all. Last full day before the half day tomorrow. Didn't do a lot last night, just relaxed.

Does anyone know a place in PA or close by that will scrap catalytic converters for cash?

Welcome back! How were you able to live without TST?

Oakes 11-24-2009 10:27 AM

The picture is lying to you guys too lol, there's a bunch more I just didn't feel like putting it all in the pic haha. This is what I get for a service advisor taking the week off, and the service manager being out for 3 days and then the administrator being out for 2 days, all after one another....it's just piling up!

Swedesford.

I vote for slacking off. Just make neat piles for each person when they come back to work. Nothing says welcome back like here, have a pile of work from when you were home.
