Just that busy time of the year before all the vacations is what I assume.

Got a connection to get mustang parts real cheap new. Hello 13s finally haha.

DPancoast 11-19-2009 05:12 PM

lol 2 funny scenarios today..

at the toyota dealership:

salesmen meeting me outside when im clearly in a hurry: hi how are you
me: good just picking up some parts for my money pit MR2
salesman: oh really? well let me know if you want to trade that money pit in.
me: well since im $10k+ deep and the car is faster, handles better, and is better looking than half the stuff on this lot, I'll pass.
salesman: ok then.

then I also just met the coolest truck driver I know to date. Has an all motor EK hatch with an LS Vtec built head, yadda yadda... all motor runs 13.2

we talked about cars for like 20 mins haha... it was cool. Told him to come to this site and come meet up with people.

sometime, i hate going to dealerships. i remeber a couple of years ago, i took my hacthback to motorworld in WB, and was looking at a s2k. the first salesman who talked to me asked me if i wanted to trade the civic in, i said maybe. then, he threw out "how about we give you $1000 for trade in."

i laughed at him and told him all i did to it. then he said, "yeah, but it's still a civic. and we won't be able to sell it from this lot anyways."

then, after i stopped talking to him, 15 mins later, another one came up, gave me his business card, and told me if i plan on selling it, give him a call, he said he knew someone who would be interested in my hatch. i never called him.

DPancoast 11-19-2009 05:20 PM

yeah its a shame that they don't talk to you before shoving a car in your face. really turns me off when it comes to dealerships

russiankid 11-19-2009 05:20 PM

I know its the salesmen job to make a sale, but when someone says to them they won't sell a car because of all the work done to it; what makes them think that them saying " you wont sell it anywhere else" will change the customers mind? If the car has a lot of work done to it, most likely it is reliable thus no need to sell it.

yeah, when my mom and dad were truing to get a new civic, they went through a little ****. This was back in '04. They wanted a 04 civic VP package. Well, the dealership try to convince them to get the LX package. AFter about 30mins or telling them no, my parents walked out on the dealership, cause they kept trying to sell them the LX package civic.

2 weeks later, they called and appoligized, and sold them a VP packaged civic at discount.

well, i think alot of dealerships don't want to deal with the hassle of selling modified cars, for fear that if something broke on it, and it wasn't anything the dealership coul dhave done about it, people would try to take them to court for it.

lownslow95 11-19-2009 05:36 PM

So my screen on my cell phone is cracked and it has two huge black spots on it. YAY!!!! So I'm thinking on getting a new phone, or time for a free upgrade, don't know though. I have Verizon, and want to get a texting phone, as I text more then I call. What do you Verizon people recommend?

russiankid 11-19-2009 05:44 PM

Very true, sleeper.

I also just got an e-mail from a parts website for BMW's. One of the clutch hard lines will take 4 weeks to get here. :bigeek:

Quick call to the dealer, for $9 more than the website I can get it on Tuesday.

Was National Guard, now I'm going active. $40k bonus is very convincing.

Julie had that problem when we went car shopping. We were looking at a new G8, GT500 Mustang(08 used with 5k miles), and a few other.

We pulled up in my car, it was clean and all. We walk right over to the G8 GXP. Guy said it was too much car for her? She was like Go **** youself, I just sold my 05 GTO that is faster then this. Go get someone who isn't a dick. Someone new came out, we took it for a spin. Then we took a G8 GT for a spin. Honestly couldn't feel a differnce and figured we would jsut go with the G8 adn save $5k plus. They offered us a dealer price on the GXP and tried not to talk to us about the GT. The GXP had 3k miles and bald rear tires. We said hell no and walked out.

Mustang was the same way, except she didn't like the car after driving it so it didn't matter anyway, but they were shady about giving her the key. I told the sales guy he could go with her cause I didn't care and there was no point in either of us being squished. As we were leaving we heard the guy saying they just wanted to take a nice car for a spin. So I did about a 50 yard burnout in front of their dealership as I left. I got new tires since :-)

ASIAN JUL 11-19-2009 07:09 PM

Oakes 11-19-2009 07:22 PM

For everyone not in the loop, I removed Julz from my friends list on Facebook because she didn't stfu like I asked her to alllll day. So she might go uber melodramatic on you, I apologize, but just ignore it.

ASIAN JUL 11-19-2009 07:28 PM

Like you asked me to all day? You said it one time on here, which isn't an uncommon thing and as far as I knew, was a joke.. just like I thought it was on Facebook.. but alright?

russiankid 11-19-2009 07:31 PM

This just in- Julz is upset about Nicks friendship via Facebook.
