I really wish I had something to do. Came in this morning and there was literally nothing for me to do from the time I got here. So bored.

its pretty damn good though. its got a decent kick, but i think next time i need 2 or 3 habanero's instead of one... and maybe larger pieces of pepper to simmer in the crockpot along with the minced up pepper, i think i lost a lot of the pepper's oil when i was cutting them up small

Just seeing the picture of your peppers, made my eyes tear and my tounge hurt from the heat.

Did you leave the white pulp from inside the chili's in the sauce? I think that that the major portion of the heat is generated from the seeds and the white pulp.

yessir. all pepper innards were put into the chili.

i think after 8 hours of slow cooking has a major affect on the pepper oil though. i'm not complaining, its a very edible mix and has a great flavor and a nice bit of heat. just not nearly what i expected :)

well today is shaping up to be slow and boring. Sweet

angdefeo 11-18-2009 11:24 AM

wow. i would have bet that the heat generated from the slow cooking would have burnt a hole in your ceiling above the croc pot.

Not sure. There's no other new edge GT's here except me. But I'm not sure if anyone does or not. We've had good luck with them thus far though.
