I would not want to meet that

That's crazy....

Went to the range for the first time today and shot my dad's glock 17 and sig 229. Can't believe I didn't start sooner it was a blast (and much harder than it looks I'll add). The firearm community was unbelievably friendly to a beginner like me haha. I'm going to be signing up for classes in the future.

good to hear your getting into our sport. Its nice how the gun community is so welcoming to new shooters. Take some classes and do your research on which firearm would suit you best as your first.. My first was my gen 2 glock 17, still my favorite pistol.

nothing I like hearing more from a noob! Welcome and stay safe.

Shooting while holding the gun sideways is easier, and the casings should eject and catch in your hat! That's the way I shoot my Glocks anyway.

If anyone is interested in going in on some .45acp with me, that would be great. I can get 1000 rounds for $350 plus tax. I don't really need all 1000, I'll buy the bulk, you can meet me and give me exactly half of what I paid (tax included) and take 10 boxes. Comes out to around 18.50 per box.

edit: actually its $329 plus tax, so comes out to around 17 per box.

This is for PMC FMJ 230gr.

Trading my Glock 19 for a 27 tomorrow. Pretty exited.

And who says you only need 500 rounds.

27 is great, you'll be able to get a conversion barrel from KKM or Lonewolf and be able to change it over to a 9mm platform in seconds. They use the same RSA, ejector, even extractor I believe, you'll just need the barrell..I THINK the mags between the 9mm and .40S&W are the same for the 26 and 27, but don't quote me.

Glad to hear that you want to enter gun ownership the right way by taking classes!

Enjoy and welcome!

First day out with the 1911, only had time to run about 130 rounds through it but it shot like a DREAM. This was 15 feet, I'd like to try further next time.

What kind of 1911 did you get,you probably mentioned it but I'm to lazy to look.

I'm jealous of the range time you seem to have been getting. I went out once last week and shot 50 rounds through my Glock 21.
The was the first time in over two months.

Jeeze... and I have trouble hitting targets with a decent group outside of 15 yards... this guy is amazing..

Then again, he is only using a .9mm.. I'm struggling with a .40 and a .45

I love his channel, tons of interesting videos, reviews, comparisons, etc. He can nail that 80 yard plate with just about anything, even snubbies

My MSAR leaves me this weekend. I'm sad but ok with it at the same time LoL.

PAFirefighter11 03-01-2012 09:51 PM

I need to add to my collection. Someone link me to a supplier with an AK-47, non WASR-10, blacked (I don't like the wood look), and not a Saiga conversion, for less than $600 :)

DC2.2GSR 03-01-2012 10:51 PM

^ airsoft gun? lol.

i really don't know how much you'd have to pay for exactly what you want, but honestly I'd just look at "regular" wood AK variants and then just swap out the furniture for whatever you want. You can get a black polymer buttstock, handguard, and pistol grip set from Arsenal for +/- $100, or you can buy whatever individual parts that you want and spend much more.
