I think that is what i paid for mine. Supply and demand, at one point they could not be found under $450 if at all. I worked mine off at the shop , i purchased it from but still... When they came in they would sale the same day.

Munky 02-11-2012 10:29 PM

That's the point tho...they aren't in a shortage right now. At least around here they're not. Places are just gouging prices on them because they can, which sucks!

Whats a good price for one? I think I'm just going to pull the trigger and buy one as a summer/back up gun.

where do you suggest one finds a new bodyguard for 300 "max"? not gonna happen..

USED buds sold the last one for $340.00 and new for $379.00 auctionarms is selling them for $340.00 if you can find a better deal than Buds and auctionarms please share..

Munky 02-12-2012 01:59 PM

Yeah $300 "max" is just laughable. Locally I have a seen a few for $330-375 new.

What's driving the demand for these things lately?

CleanNeon98 02-12-2012 03:07 PM

Looking to get a trigger job done on my GP100. Any suggestions or volunteers? Name your price!
Also got on the waiting list for a Ruger 1911

They just make great BUG's. You can wear them with practically anything and anywhere (within legal limits of course ). I have mine with me all day everyday no questions asked. I grab my wallet, keys, bodyguard, & phone...in that order .

~Brian~ 02-12-2012 03:36 PM

Do you carry your regular gun as well or is the Bodyguard your edc?

john robinson at CP. do NOT have an amateur **** with a revolver, they are VERY easy to mess up. if you have someone who doesnt know what they are doing try and mod it they will screw up the timing and you will end up spending more getting it fixed than going to the right place off the batt. have the cylinder chamfered while your in there makes repoading MUCH easier.

CleanNeon98 02-12-2012 11:37 PM

Yea I talked to CP.and they said.JR was in tomorrow. Wonder how.much itl cost

Typically yes I still carry my G19 or my UCII...but either way the bodyguard is always on me regardless.

99corvette 02-14-2012 10:23 AM

I have only seen one time the price of a bg under 300 and it was LE only pricing. my buddy got one at the last valley forge show out the door for 340. I thought that was a pretty good deal.
