Imagine going around telling people you're a drop out electrician. :lulz: That would be pretty bad.

Or telling them you went through 9 months of tech school only to have the job you applied for been offered to someone with 3 months experience... 4 years prior

But at least I was that guy with the three months experience

Why did you get fired? Being on TST all day?

came into work this morning as soon as i walk in she said "we have to let you go."

i got fired because i decided to be nice, let my boss (susie's mom) know that i would be looking for a job as a massage therapist soon, because that is what i'm going to school for. and doing that and finishing up more classes so i can get licensed would be hard to do working there as much as i am now.

she told her boss, and they want someone dedicated, Full time* (they said they could only give me part time when i was hired) and for $10/hr. I said good luck with finding that.

CHAOS 11-27-2007 11:10 AM

sounds like they are doing what most companies do. i mean what did you expect?

my landlord is a massage therapist, she charges $80 an hour

My back is in horrible shape from the 1.5 hour commute I had for the previous month. Not to mention moving and now working out... I could use a professional massage, but even with my $10 discount on her hour massage... :bigeek:

Scapegoat 11-27-2007 11:11 AM

God my roommate is going to be deaf by like the age of 25. He listens to his music real damn loud on his ipod. Its loud enough that I can hear it across the room.

Kerplunk105 11-27-2007 11:20 AM

Snoozie 11-27-2007 11:22 AM

Tiff....you expressed over and over again in this thread alone how much you hated your job, so maybe this will be better for you.

most likely that money will be going to very good use. It'll probably get cycled back into the community, either to get kids off the street and into after school programs, or to help students going into law enforcement etc. don't knock it down until you know exactly what the money is for.

FYI: My grandfather was an officer for 27 years, he died in a car accident 4-6 years after his retirement. The family set up a memorial scholarship fund in his honor in order to assist students in paying for their schooling in the criminal justice or law enforcement system. In this way he can continue to help the community as he did for 27 years.

I usually laugh when I get fired, more of a relief than a let down.
(I was looking for the thread of how to quit your job, but the link expired)
I definately wanna go over the store loudspeaker and quit my job

Actually, I am pretty sure this is being set up as a trust for his family.

I totally agree with a fund being set up for other purposes, but a trust for his family I see as unneeded.

DropTopChevy 11-27-2007 11:26 AM

I wanna start a "Get Nick Miller into an S4 fund" help the kid that wants to help himself.

He has children though... the police pension would not be enough to send them to college. Though the police do not make a whole lot of money, they make enough to take care of their family. His income is now gone from that family and I doubt the widow would be able to carry on without the support.

The money from the community and the money from life insurance should keep her going for a year or two. If the number 1 resource of your household income was abruptly removed you'd be wanting the help too.
