yeah, well, money will slowly become and issue for me, if the f*cking VA doesn't hurry up and give me my damn college money, getting tired of paying out of pocket.

thank god i decieded a long time ago to start saving up my money, though, i was saving it up for something else

Haha isn't that always the case, once you have the money.

I think I'm going to start setting up the mustang for drag racing over the winter. Just a few odds and ends, like trying to keep it cool and all.

sleeper15 11-02-2009 03:27 PM

i was just thinking, if i didn't ave to help out my parents with their 2nd morgage, and if the VA pay'd me on time for my college money, i would have gotten the car i really wanted.

Scapegoat 11-02-2009 03:28 PM

you should teach your parents a lesson about being extended beyond their means :p

Oakes 11-02-2009 03:30 PM

If insurance didn't hate my age group, I'd still have the car I really wanted.

My dad gave me good advice to buy a house you can almost not afford, because in the long run you would assume your salary would increase and bigger things would be happening.

Thats a big IF for a 10+ year commitment.

not sure if that is good advice lol.

personally, i'd prefer to purchase well below what i can afford so that i can afford to later move on to a bigger and better house when i get that salary increase

And than you get laid off, can't find jack for a job and everybody else has to bail you out...

they didn't.

it was done as a favor.

they wanted to get a lower intrest rate on their 1st morgage, but, in order to do that, they needed to pay off their 2nd one.

so, i paid it off for them, so they can save a lot more money, and alot lower house payments.

but, they are paying me back, slowly

Or just be able to afford the nice car and have the best of everything. I'd rather have a small home that is pimp then an empty huge home.

I bought my GTO when I was on my old salary. Now I can barely find a job, especially one that I can afford a $480 car payment with. I'm getting by, but not comfortable as I used to be. It sucks.

He's very smart financially actually haha, but I can't remember the exact words so I might have left one or two things out.

they way i look at it is like this

if you make $60k a year, all you can get is a $120k house

and i go backwards for a car, if you want to get a $10k car, save up to $20k.

but, thats just me

Scapegoat 11-02-2009 03:39 PM
