Yea they are amazing. And have the best prices next to eBay

You would hear a 190 pump which means you would def know if you had a 255. Wally's are beginning to sell cheap enough that I'd pick up a 255 and a rewire kit. I'm sure extremepsi has them at a great price like always but i'd also check STM on tuners they may have a deal going on for the pumps and the rewire. I remember seeing it within the last couple weeks.

yea extremepsi is awesome, was on the phone with them for a while the other day and they're very good to talk to. anyway, i was told that the whine was diminished with a re-wire kit so i figured mine was rewired but im leaning more towards theres no pump in there after all. i'll scoop one up and pain through the install and hopefully things will be better. its so close

You should be able to see the rewire kit. Pop your back seat out

97TurboDSM 03-21-2009 11:27 AM

Look for a huge fuse inline with the power wires going to the pump. I think thats something to look for. I forget

97TurboDSM 03-21-2009 11:34 AM

none of that business going on

gtsiawd96 03-21-2009 01:06 PM

This is what it should look like, somewhat:

http://www.raktron.com/fuel/rewire1.html

You should definitely hear a 255 whining especially with the seat out. It will drive you mad.

http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php - Go to your vehicle >Fuel/Air>Fuel pump Tank Seal. They have 2 ones 3.00 the other is 18.00, pick your poison.

97TurboDSM 03-21-2009 01:31 PM

thanks for both links. pump definitely not re-wired and definitely doesnt whine so im goin with no wally 255. that slimy son of a bitch lied lol

97TurboDSM 04-05-2009 11:54 PM

after a host of problems, and new parts. it's time to work on the tune and get the boost off the stock setting. i'm pretty pumped. thats all

97TurboDSM 04-09-2009 08:43 PM

well if any of you saw my car when i had the carpet in, you know how terrible it was. i decided i finally had enough and it was time to do somethin about it. so after some research i bought some RIT clothing dye and went to town on my carpet/headliner. The carpet got two coats and i let it dry almost all afternoon. being the impatient person that i am, i put it in with a few wet spots but they were on the far edges of the carpet so no biggie there. The finished product look sooooooooooooooooooooo good and im so happy it only cost ~$12. The headliner will get another coat tomorrow along with the visors and hatch cover. Back seat is also back in along with all interior pieces. Will be a long day tomorrow but will be ready for sonic on saturday.

Looks oddly familiar, Minus the Duck! lol.

Jealous. I have no time to do a good cleaning I would like to before the Sonic Meet.

97TurboDSM 04-09-2009 09:24 PM

lownslow95 04-09-2009 09:27 PM

Looks good. It looks like you need new seats though.

97TurboDSM 04-09-2009 09:45 PM

lol wut? those seats are 99% perfect

lownslow95 04-09-2009 09:52 PM

It just looks like there are some cracks in the seats, but it could be just the angle of the shot.

97TurboDSM 04-09-2009 09:54 PM

mostly just wrinkles.
