Hence why I used a bretheable material. It was recommended by Jaybird to do it at work, at least. I just wanted to keep seepage down, since it's shaded.

You're fine to cover it, especially at night and at work. Lotion and creams collect dirt like crazy, while you sleep protecting it from picking up dirt and from rubbing is a much better alternative. It is, however, just as important to let it breathe whenever you can.
Everyone has an opinion that will directly conflict with someone else's. Just do what your artist recommended; it's worked for them thus far.
