i want to get some new optics for the 30-06. What are some peoples thoughts. i def wanna get the farthest and clear. Not looking to spend $500 but willing to drop a decent amount
I def want to focus on this gun and dialing myself into it.

I just bought a Redfield scope for my .35 rem and I am very happy with it. It is made by Leupold, so the picture is crystal clear, but because it doesn't have their brandname on it, it is not out-of-this-world expensive.

From everything I've been reading lately, THIS seems to be a no-brainer, buy it without even handling it in person kind of thing if you're looking for an inexpensive scope.

I just shot my brothers AR he posted on this thread(99corvette). He has the geissele Super dynamic 3 gun trigger....this thing kicks ASS! I was shooting 3 shot + full mag dumps as fast as my dads M16. It's expensive but here is a vid with a SBR AR I found on youtube with one. I could not shoot my ar anywhere near as fast as his!

Wait til it breaks in, its a good investment for the price for sure!

I actually carried the G19 today for the first time in a little...It felt right at home sitting on my 3 o'clock.

I had to report for jury selection today, and missed out on quite an interesting 3 week homicide case. It created to much of a hardship to sit on a jury for 3 weeks, but i was selected until that point (was called up to side bar to discuss hardship)

Thanks again Mike for providing me with that information!!

I know this is a few days old, and most probably have heard about the Navy Seal who recently shot himself in the head, while showing a girl he met at the bar his gun.

This is just a stark reminder of simple gun safety, never point a gun at something you dont want to destroy, and be, not so bluntly, "dumb."

Keep it safe, playa's

I'm sorry but  when I read he just recently completed his SEAL training. If this is the type of people they're producing than I'm glad I have my own protection. :bigeek:

he actually died days after he shot himself. i feel bad for a military member dying, but a seal of all people should know to safety check his weapon.

Yes its sad, but beyond safety checking your weapon, you should never point your weapon at something you don't intend to destroy PERIOD.

Can chamber check, tactile touch all you want..no gun should ever be pointed in the direction of someone else nor your own head for that matter...

Darwinism at work again

So, as an update to my earlier post about the S&W Body Guard, my uncle ended up buying both the .38 and then placed an order for the Body Guard revolver shortly after. Had the opportunity to shoot both of them last night, and even though it was my first time shooting a hand gun, I really, really dug both, but the revolver just a bit more. I'm interested in learning a bit more and maybe even getting my permit, so I inquired around and apparently Pistol People in Bristol has a class on the basics. Anyone been? Any other ideas where I could learn some of the basic stuff like cleaning, local law, etc?

You can find all of the information online, especially cleaning stuff, there's numerous vids on the tube of how people clean their guns. Law is also online.

Grats, dudes. Guns are something I know very, very little about. My curiosity is piqued, though.

Oh boy, it wont be long til you start building an arsenal, its super addicting haha..

Im also picking up the S&W Bodyguard .380 for my girlfriend as a purse gun...

Although she would prefer a Glock, just to big for her to actually carry, so i really cant complain :)

Newest acquisition here.
CZ75 with combat hammer, CZ Custom Shop grips and full Cerakote finish.

Purchased from EFR.

Took it out last night and put about 400 rounds through it. This gun is surgical. Worth every penny and will last forever.

i wonder if one of those would work with my smith and wesson M&P 15-22... they supposedly have the same trigger as an AR

if its the same trigger set up as a standard ar then it should work. i cant wait to go back out shooting again, one of the presidents of the gun club we were shooting at this past weekend came up to us because he thought we were shooting a machine gun.
