I will feel bad for the kid. I won't feel bad for the parents. If you are that ****ing stupid to leave something like that where your kid can access that during that young of an age, you are stupid.

(CNN) -- Officials are trying to rescue a 6-year-old boy who climbed into a balloon-like experimental aircraft built by his parents and floated into the sky over eastern Colorado.

The family describes the structure as a dome-shaped "homemade flying saucer," according to sheriff's office.

The boy's family had been building the experimental aircraft at their home on Fossil Ridge Road in Fort Collins, CNN affiliate KUSA reported.

The family has described the structure as a a dome-shaped "homemade flying saucer," Larimer County Sheriff's Office Spokeswoman Kathy Davis said.

"We're trying to determine the best course of action," Davis said. "This is a first and we'll do what we need to do."

sleeperSL2 10-15-2009 03:11 PM

yeah i know. how f***ed up do you have to be to allow yourkid to access this?

Snoozie 10-15-2009 03:11 PM

I heard something last night on our patio. I thought it was just the neighborhood cats, but now I'm not so sure.

Elliott18t 10-15-2009 03:12 PM

lol that sucks. why where they building that o_0

doing Chem reports while at work ftw lol...

HickRocket1258 10-15-2009 03:13 PM

It's 0 degrees up there they said. That and along with him not being able to breathe, considering that it's in Colorado, the kid is going to die to either freezing or lack of oxygen. Again, this kid isn't living.

Oh please you know you'd be excited if you came outside expecting a cat and I was sitting there curled up on your front step. Your front light matches my skin!

Apparently there is seperate compartment from the helium, but you are right. Kid is dead. No way he is surviving. Let's not forget he's in Colorado which has the highest altitude from sea level.
